I'm sure the Allams, like most of their ilk, are surrounded by a coterie of fawning sycophants,

Cleaning out the **** houses on a Sunday morning in Ebeneezer Morleys is a cracking gig compared to working for the Allams.

I actually think Coleman would be a decent fit for us. His Wales team really played for him in the Euros and he seems to set a high importance on the team being tightly knit. It looks like despite all the goings on the team in Austria look closely bonded.

Perhaps Ehab did want rid of Bruce and was willing to provide £18million in funds to a new manager - top this up with Diame's fee and Coleman might be happy with £22.5 million & a free in his pal Robson-Kanu.

Still needs the plonker just to stump up the compensation if this is the only stumbling block!!

Whatever his motive, Assem seems determined to have lasting legacy/a name that will live on in the city. However, his charitable works and other work within the community have been (irreversably?) **** stained through just six years at a football club. I haven't spoken to anyone who has a good word to say about them for ages - can't honestly recall the last time.

They are genuinely despised in the city and area.

How does this sit with them?

Not sure what it's like for them where they live, socialise and work but people must be talking about them all the time: laughing, sneering and even hating.

I think they start as donations then become loans when the recipient doesn't bow low enough.

The test is sod all to do with their ability, in fact the authorities say they don't interfere in the business side. It pretty much just checks they've got sufficient legal funds and are not blocked from running a business..

If they give it him now it's because everyone else has turned them down and the Allams won't want us knowing they've failed to bring in a manager. So as long as they employ anyone other than phelan we'll never know he wasn't their preferred choice

I agree. I posted earlier, I feel sorry for Phelan, he obviously wasn't at top of their list, on a daily basis Dumb & Dumber are flirting with every man and their dog, yet he maintains his dignity, had a good pre season, and has said nowt (although probably been told to do so by D & D). I just wonder if he is offered if he will have the last laugh and stick two fingers up to them by declining? Then we are in even more trouble having exhausted all options.

most likely he will get tax relief on the donations because he will structure it just such a way but you have to be careful
