History is also what defines the elites. Look at all the top teams and what do most of them have, an extensive history.
We have a good history, which is why we're a BIG ESTABLISHED CLUB, but we are not an ELITE CLUB currently. Elite clubs are your United's, Barca's, Bayrens etc. That's what we used to be when we were invincibles, that's an ELITE CLUB. To call what we currently are as elite, is a joke. 20 points behind United, oh yeah, so elite.

Good supporters support the club through the good and bad times. They get behind the team always never mind the circumstances. It is fans (I'm not saying you are one) that only started supporting the Arsenal when Wenger took over and we has our success that are spoilt. They typify the plastic fans tab and moan when the lean times happen. We ALL want Arsenal to do better. We all want to win things. But so does every fan of every club. We cannot all win every year. We cannot compete with the financial clout of the Manc clubs and Chelsea. We can do better yes. Is this signing good for Arsenal, yes. Could we have signed more, possibly. I would rather we were prudent and well run though, so that we don't do a Leeds or Portsmouth, which could potentially happen to Chelsea or Man C (I would hope not though). I will be supporting my club, whether or not we win trophies for the rest of my life, hopefully that will be at least another 10 years, but preferably another 40 years. I'll support them wherever we are in the League. As I am sure you will.
