except Coq isn't even the best player at DM for Arsenal. Of you'd been paying attention instead of spouting you'd have noticed. Arsenal is an elite club which means that not just ANY DM can play for us. Ps there are far better DMs than Coq, but there is also that issue of availability. Just because a club wants a player doesn't mean that the player's club will sell said player.

If you think 8 years is a long time then I doubt you were an Arsenal fan when they went decades without winning anything. Arsenal is an ELITE Club whether you like it, which you obviously don't, or not.

Oh my God, are you a scouser in disguise? I don't deny Arsenal are a BIG CLUB, we are a big club, but there's a difference between a big club, and an ELITE CLUB. We are not an ELITE club amongst the likes of United, Madrid, Bayern etc.
We are without a doubt in the top 3 clubs in the English League, along with Man U and Liverpool (albeit probably 3rd behind them). That makes us elite.
I can remember us going 18 years without winning the league on two occasions so i suspose that could count as nearly two decades.
We are no longer elite. We are a big club, but not an elite club. Yes, we have a good history, HISTORY get it? We were elite at one point, but not at this current point in our history. I agree we need to spend the vast resources that everyone can agree we have. Regardless why don't we also mention that still nothing has been done with the flops. We still have the same, underperforming squad that is overpaid. The beauty of the modern game is that there is a whole world to scout, so why are we hanging on to this deadweight?
