Cardiff are in a different league, Breezy. Literally. We are closer to the Champions League than the Championship. Lol.

Cardiff are light years behind and even if they got promoted they would need major surgery to compete at prem level, scott sinclair has showed how hard it can be for some to make the step up (though overall he has still been awesome)

The biggest thing is the pace and strength of the prem teams, our style of play means we can short cut alot of the rough and tumble but Cardiff are a team that rely on that kind of approach the same as 90% of ccc teams do. They are a no frills championship outfit and unless they signed 6 new players and gelled straight away they would struggle in the prem IMO.

QPR tried to buy a prem team and they have payed top dollar for the privillage of being in the relegation battle.
Norwich, like the swans have shown that keeping continuity helps a great deal, Norwich can afford to pay bigger wages than us but have still spent money wisely, they combine power and skill very well and show that having a top manager will help them adapt to top level football.

Most Cardiff fans think that 1 off games against prem teams means they can compete at prem level, it proves nothing ! it shows they can raise their game for a 1 off match but that apllies to every lower league team in cup competitions.

Im waiting for the debt to finnaly catch up with them, so many have their head in the sand RE this matter and beleive it is not important, Bolton are struggling because they are massivley in debt and they have plenty of prem experience, Swans are doing it by ploughing their own furrow in terms of style of play and it we are probably the most innavitive team to grace the prem league in years, until the likes of Cardiff go back to basics and build from the bottom up minus debt they will forever be papering over the cracks!

Teams that are struggling with debt have gennerally been those that tried to buy and maintain prem status, cardiff are quite unique in that they have aquired similar levels of debt by not being premier league<laugh>
Its quite an achievement actually !! their owners have yet to put in any money which seems strange considering they are alleged billionaires, the fact they are charging high intrest on the money they loaned to the club tells me they are in it for money and nothing else, long term this could well destroy Cardiff, if billionaire owners couldnt give £2m quid (spread over a consortium) without charging 7% intrest then something is wrong. If these people had the club at heart the loans would be at least intrest free or in line with base line intrest, they are not !

The chase for the prem dream is destroying many clubs. Norwich went down to L2 sorted out their finances and spent what they could afford. Southhampton are doing exactly the same,we have done the same, surely the penny must be starting to drop by now ??

i hope Southhampton get promotion, it will show that the way to go is good coaching and shrewd financial planning . We at swansea have started something special,it means that once again smaller clubs can eat off the top table if they do things the right way.<ok>

Good to see the old adage of "every cloud having a silver lining", standing the test of time.
Also, that you are heroically taking the pain for the good of the team.
    Keep it up,Norway.

Spot on re Cardiff, NJ. They are deluded if they think these Malaysians are interested in anything except money. It was their openly stated intention to become the first Malaysian group to own a Prem team. When Fernandes pipped them to the post by buying QPR one can only imagine how they felt. The only thing left is to make money from their non-investment. And that's what they're doing.

Their owner, as you say, is a billionaire. This is a fact. A good start would have been to not only run a more fiscally responsible ship (which they are now doing having failed to buy their way out with expensive, disinterested Prem loanees) but to also wipe out their debt. That would free up funds to buy in some real quality within their budget.

Like you, I still think it's going to come back and bite them.

Why they replaced DJ with MM ill never know, I like MM but DJ is a much better manager imo. DJ was messed about every season and had to sell his best players, I agree that the malaysians have not done very much except keep the wolf from the door at cardiff and seeing as they are suppose to be billionaires then they are putting peanuts into the club....Its time to put up or shut up if they are serious about reaching the premiership and start putting their money where there mouth is......all talk and no action so far....

You could have hand-written a match thread and sent it by Royal Mail to not606 for inclusion. No internet is no excuse.:emoticon-0105-wink:

I'd prefer Saints, Blackpool and Brighton - 3 trips to the seaside!

Norway top post mate, and very true, though I doubt any Bluebirds would see it that way, they have had their head in the sand for many a season now, but the bubble will burst sooner than later, and if they should ever reach the Prem, they would end up whipping boys in my view! Could even give the Rams record a run for it's money...........................
