    I agree with the 1st part of your post, although i think McClean is worthy of a place.

    And spot on with the 2nd <ok> Rooney is having a great season, it's not just goals he contributes

    No doubt he's done well but much like Sagna and Valencia in the senior category, I don't think he's played enough to warrant a place when there's a lot of good competition.

    I'm probably a bit biased as i see him as half god and ireland's saviour to the world <laugh>

    Hoilett is a very good shout though <ok>

    What about players like Leon Britton, and Grant Holt. I think these awards should be awarded relative to the players club and assumed ability, so privileged players at higher clubs need to perform like they're at higher clubs, and then players at lower clubs who sometimes have to do it all themselves (like RvP <laugh>) get recognised as well.
