I personally find it disgusting that Hogan hasn't been given a chance. It's getting to the point now where I want to leave our club and do well. It's the greatest shame as I know he could do a job for us. So overlooked.

With respect your wrong. Argument always crops up in the circles im in, and the Anthony Pilkington saga always gets mentioned. Lower league, ex Atherton Collieries, Stockport and Huddersfield. Was often called not good enough etc. Given a proper chance at Norwich, sustained run of games, now look at him and them. I cant even think of a sustained run of games Ephraim has been given at this level.

He was invisible even in the NPC, he simply does nothing and hides. Whenever he gets the ball he just passes back to the FB. A totally worthless player and a complete waste of a squad place.

It seems like you are wrong because loads of managers have agreed with me. I am right until he proves himself better than the likes of Hoilett, Taarabt etc.

    Flyer thats complete tosh

I refer you to his excellent finishes away at Sheffield Utd and Donny in our promotion season. Top drawer finishes both and taken like a seasoned pro.

He like many others fell into the period when we enployed 457 managers who all wanted to use different players, formations, favourites etc etc

Londoncalling is right, he needs a run of games which he hasn't had. Either use him or move him on somewhere he will get match time.

He must be very fustrated, no worse than SWP imo.

This is damning him with faint praise, Wubba!

My impression of Hogan was that he had talent but he just wasn't robust enough to break into the first team full time. And the physical battle we have on our hands now won't make him any more useful. I do think it is a great shame that he was included in the 25 at all. If he gone on loan to say Peterborough or Ipswich, it would have been an excellent platform on which to prove himself.

That said, Harry has made it clear that all the 25 start off as equals in his eyes, so Hogan may yet get a chance, and I'm quite willing to be proved wrong

9 goals in 145 apps in the NPC and L1. Hardly an accomplished finisher.

The fact is not one person has ever had him in their preferred team in the PL, that says a lot. Hes not good enough.

I completely understand where your coming from and realise you can have your opinion on him, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this matter.

I will say though there have been hundreds of players who prove my theory. But it's true, if we have this many managers that don't see anything in him then there's probably something im missing. WBA is spot on however, certainly no worse than SWP, tries and cares a whole lot more as well.

That was not what he said. What he said was that players can't return until January at the earliest. He also did not say that Luke Young would return to the squad in January. He just said that he got on with him and liked him. Whether that was as a person or as a full back was not elaborated on. We really do need to stop investing so much into the press conferences as they seem laregly to consist of a few chosen press men banging on about rumour and trying to big up the problems we face. The one positive I draw from the conference was Harry's sense of humour and the positive things he said about the spirit of the players after Sunderland and in training. That seemed to me to be entirely credible and therefore worth its weight in gold. Loved his sarcastic put down of the tosser who suggested Frank Lampard after he had got nothing out of the Becks and Joe Cole suggestions.

Harry is not as stupid as some previous managers have been in declaring their intentions to sign X, Y and Z. He knows who he wants and quite rightly told the press gallery that unless we get some wins chalked up between now and January, there is no point in spending a bucket load on new players on expensive contracts we will be saddled with in the Championship.

The focus should be on the here and now not who else we can bring into the club during the next transfer window

Id probably agree with you on SWP but then I cant wait to get him out of the squad either.

I think every single one of us would rather DJ have been in the squad ahead of Ephraim, especially if Cisse gets injured or sent off in the next month.
