@No Kane No Gain has been a member of the mod team on here for a number years.
He's decided to step down and we'd like to thank him for his contribution to the forum.
He's not going anywhere, so don't worry. He'll still be posting as usual.

This does create a gap that needs filling, though.
@Spurf and I would like to take the opportunity to ask for volunteers, as well as ask if we need replacing.
We only fill these positions at your discretion and won't take any suggestions personally.

This might also be a good time to ask if anything in general needs changing.
Is there anything you'd like to see added, removed or altered?

Once things are a little clearer I'll post a thread with a vote.

Over the lifetime of the board, have there ever been any sh*t storms
in scale and frequency that any two of the three were not able to deal
with in a timely manner without the involvement of the third ??

If the answer is no, then continuing with two mods should suffice.

There have been occasions where the three of us have debated a decisions and while we have always agreed there may have been occasions when a different conclusion may have been reached without the three of us. The number of mods is in the gift of brb and his team so I feel we should use our allocated 3.

Thanks also to NKNG from me too, his perspective will be missed.

I think the moderation on this board has always trod an excellent line in terms of keeping it somewhere where people can disagree but where it rarely blows over into unpleasantness. As was discussed over the last few months, that’s rare on today’s internet. So well done to the team on that front. The barrier to entry here feels very low, or at least I feel like it would to a new member of the board.

On that note the one thing I would want to improve is that it’s always nice to have more new posters! More variety of opinion is always welcome. I know there’s one or two people who lurk more than they post on here and all I would say is that it’s great when those posters become more regular if they want to do that and I would encourage them to do so, and encourage everyone on here to keep making it a place that welcomes new people and perspectives. I have nothing constructive to add in terms of getting more bodies on here though, unfortunately. And I think we have a great group of regulars anyway so it’s not a major gripe.
