Henry is a bloke you bring on in the last 10 mins when you are winning and change to a 451 and try to close out the game. It was no surprise we scored when he went off, I think we did the same in another match when he was taken off as well.
Hard to be consistent when you are in and out of the team all the time, he should be given 5-6 games minimum starting every game. I think him and Barton could do a real job.
That's right, after winning 4 and drawing 1 of our first 5 games, lets go and tinker with the team and allow a bloke 5-6 games to get up to speed with where we're at. Flyer, it really is painful to witness your ramblings on a daily basis.
I have to disagree with the majority about Henry. I like him and I think he's better on the ball than he's given credit for.
Of everything I've read on here tonight this is the post I'd most like to be associated with. I'm convinced that, given a few matches, Ale will get back to his best and be the best player in the division; unfortunately I doubt he will get them. Henry is slowly growing on me, but he will never be able to pass like Ale, he simply doesn't have the vision.
I'm a massive Faurlin fan, but he is a million miles away from the player he was before his injury. I maintain that I quite like Henry, although he shouldn't be compared with Faurlin imo. They can play together.
Maybe, but how much have you seen him play this season? On Tuesday he played a couple of magnificent passes to release Suk-Young down the wing, no one else came close to making those passes. He has always had certain weaknesses otherwise he'd be playing for a better team than us. A little confidence and some more match time under his belt and he will be back to his best. If we are going to continue to play from the back he should be a key player as he always makes himself available for a pass and always look to move the ball on swiftly.
You've obviously seen him more than me this season mate and as I say, I'm a massive fan. I really hope he can get back to his former glory!
Me too. I was actually very surprised to see Redknapp bring him on today, maybe he is not as anti-Faurlin as we feared. Hopefully he will make the bench again on the 14th and get another chance to come on. See you then too mate.
