The aim in footie is to score goals - to ensure a win you must score more than your opponents. It's not rocket science.

So why are teams awarded a point in a game where they couldn't score?

Fair point, but how many times do you hear top, and I mean top, Managers say that the first thing they look for is a clean sheet?
