Agree. Whoever they get, for whatever money - he won't be as good as VP has been this year. It'll need to be a miracle signing for it not leave them hugely weakened. People can chat about this or that player that they've seen mentioned on Newsnow but the stark fact is that most transfers (regardless of the fee) fail, especially if you're talking about players joining the Prem from outside England.
In hat case Wenger is betting an awful lot on getting RVP to stay. If he doesn't, then there's very little time after the Euros to get anything done.
I think you deserve a medal for resisting the temptation to highlight the fact that I used the words "hole" and "balls" so close together - I realised after I'd posted it. Perhaps I'm more puerile than most. Surely not...
Let's not forget RVP only has only a year left on his contract so it's a different situation to Ratboy's. If they don't let him leave then he'll simply walk away next year. As much as I despise him, he is a wonderful footballer and really does deserve to be at one of Europe's current elite clubs. He shouldn't waste his career by staying at Arsenal.. sure, he might get a hospitality suite named after him in a few years but he'll have very little, if any, winners medals in his household.
Age wise he's in his prime, he cannot wait till after another long term contract, its as simple as that. He's basically giving Arsenal the opportunity to buy some serious players . He had imo an exceptional season, he must be asking himself, 'can I repeat that?...will I be injury free for another season after a WC?, and what happens if I don't???'. Rooney had a season like that...then he didn't! Just a thought.
yeah they are ,wonder what wound them up,must be the though of the chav's having another chance of being the first London club to be CL champions, when all they have is 18 years+ of failing.that rabied arsenat 87 is even insulting poor old Ammarr, even calling him a spud
