Unpredictability... that's a new one!

Don't worry Minxy, you aren't the first and you won't be the last. Once my smoldering use of punctuation and insatiable thirst for sporting updates registered for this forum, it was like shooting fish in a barrel... What chance did you ladies really have? Heck WP and AB can barely restrain their lust.

I love you all <smooch>

From the puzzled mind of John Barnes re McManaman:

"I don't think he should be charged at all... I think he's been very harshly treated."

"Tackles like that happen every single day, in every single league, at least 60/70 times. At least."

e

I know he was punished and rightly so, i think they should ban mcmanaman too, my point was he was applauded off by the Newcastle supporters as he left the pitch, and check the table Leeds are in our shadow

The ref saw the kick but did not say anything !, frigging useless, just like the Bayern munich player who done a 'Nanni' on a arsenal player, exactly the same as at old trafford, but that was missed too. The linesmen/women are far too slow in todays game and don't keep up with play.

Sorry mate, do they irritate you?

I use them when I writing to spread the text out & make it easier for me to read back as I'm dyslexic.

I makes it much easier for me to spot my own errors when trying to proof-reading. Although sadly some still slip through.

I will try hard not to use them when addressing you :D

The "you did this, you did that" tact is boring. You have absolutely no room to attach blame to anyone of us for incidents like that. I can't even recall being at that game, but I assure you I don't clap players off who've been red-carded, or who've made ridiculous challenges.

I think it's pointless calling Wigan's fans anything for clapping the player off the pitch, most won't have seen the tackle. Same with most cases where a player is sent off. Unlike the refs, we aren't 2 yards from the incident. An innocent player being stricken by a very bad challenge, is reprehensible whatever strip the victim or aggressor are wearing. We as fans of football all want the same thing and should be pulling in the same direction, not trolling <ok>

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I actually have my own secret (not so more now) sexual perversion to ellipses... I think I started when I first joined old 606, there was just something dreamy about posters who were possibly leaving something unsaid, implying tone, or just using it to make others second guess something unsaid or a tone that wasn't even there... Ahhhhhhhh :emoticon-0115-inlov

Complete brain dead ******ery by Barnes. He also said 'Should have been a red card but I don't think he should be punished'

His opinion is worthless and no one frankly gives two ****s what he has to say

From what I've read they've said that one of the officials saw the incident but didn't appreciate the seriousness.

What has that got to do with anything, seeing as all this tells you is that their view of the incident wasn't sufficient – they plainly saw the two players but not the contact.

The only point is, what would they give having watched it clear as day on a video? Tell us what that verdict is.
I'll tell you what it is, RED CARD! That judgement was unequivocal and clear as day from all quarters of the footballing fraternity.

The player was not carded on the pitch which should be the ONLY reason to prohibit retrospective punishment, so what's the problem?

I'll tell you what the problem is, it's Newcastle United and the club and its players DON'T MATTER as far as the FA are concerned. We might as well be in Scotland.
If I was Steven Taylor I'd pull out of the England squad. It could easily have been him instead and the outcome would be the same.

Can you imagine the uproar had it been Rooney hacked down or even golden boy of the moment Gareth Bale of Tottenham left stricken for months?
There would be a biased media frenzy and calls for a state execution never mind a retrospective ban. I can imagine them getting their way too.

I'd love to say I'm shocked but I 100% expected it and Dave 'Clueless' Whelan must feel smug and vindicated tonight.
Well what goes around comes around and although I hate seeing any club relegated, that lot of classless fools won't be missed if they drop.

A ban for McHackaman wouldn't have helped NUFC one bit anyway so let's hit them in their pockets through the courts and just get behind the one person that matters the most, the victim, Massadio Haidara.
Yeah that's the lad's name Whelan, so have the courtesy to use it with contrition when you offer your shameful dribble of an opinion.

My missus caught me sticking pins in an effigy of Dave Wheelan last night but admitted she didn't get a good enough look to see who it was.....yippeeeeee.....if, by some unfortunate coincidence he meets with an untimely end today that's me in the clear.
