We just have to rely on teams around us loosing. That's all we have. And to pick up odd points here and there.
Boos ringing out at half time. And no Wessi on the bench to pacify people. And **** all happening on the pitch to pacify anybody. Remind me, are we the home team or away tonight??
We have been very lucky so far, every time the ball goes wide we allow them to cross or shoot, football suicide...
Not impressed with the fan reaction. They didn't deserve applause but no good will come from booing. And the Wes chants seem off. We need to get behind the boys on the pitch, even if they aren't performing!
Not sure what's up with Johnson his been terrible tonight, Martin, Ollson and Pilkington have been quite sloppy too in possession, Snodgrass's deliveries have been weak. If we can sort out Johnson and the fullbacks half the battle is won. Remy and Ben Afra are both having a good games but we always seem to struggle against this Santon guy for some reason.
Although to be fair to Newcastle, this paragraph might go some way to explaining it (from the same match report):
Not sure how we're not at least 2-0 up to be fair. You can only get better in the second half surely?
That was awful viewing. We can't pass, we can't hold onto the ball, we don't have height or pace to rely on and we're not strong. Basically we're playing like a bunch of slow, weak midgets. It's embarrassing. BUT Newcastle have only had two shots on target, despite our midfield's best efforts to gift them goal-scoring opportunities. I would say bring on a midfielder to try to get parity, but I feel like that would just allow Pardew to react and change shape. Hooper has looked very good. Pilks has been reasonable.
