More so, in my opinion. Cabaye is always looking for a pop at goal and is deadly from free kicks. He'll be a big loss for them.
If I was Ashley I'd invest the bare minimum to survive in the league comfortably, just like he is doing, and if players have bigger ambitions then I'd sell them as soon as somebody matched my valuation. The obvious flaw is that you'd be a couple of injuries and some bad press away from being relegation fodder but he likes to take risks, he did it last season and ended up having to hoover up half of France to save you from the drop. I reckon Cabaye will be a bench warmer at PSG but Newcastle have a good deal from this, I read he could have bought himself out of his contract at the end of the season and Ashley has just pulled off another transfer window master stroke, considering you're already safe from relegation I don't see what doesn't make sense about this deal.
Who knows mate, I'd have accepted him at £20m as a fan but seems Moyes isn't convinced or maybe has other targets, I'd prefer Lallana but that's just me who knows what Moyes is thinking!
I wonder how soon would react to a big bid. I don't think they'd play hard Baal to the extent that Ashley does.
