3 TIMES a sub species group of extinction rebellion "insulate" has caused havoc to peeps on the M25.
It endangers life, it diverts police resources, it costs the tax payer money, BUT MOST OF ALL it has added hundreds of tonnes of co2 to the atmosphere which is the cause [ or one of them] of what they are trying to eliminate …. bit like lemmings really.in the wider picture the amount of heat lost through windows walls and roof is miniscule. After a few inche's of snow [ we don't get a lot now ] and temps staying around 0 degrees for a week check the roof's of houses around you the uninsulated ones show signs of melting [ snow thinning ] after 2 or 3 days so heat is "escaping" but not much. YES its good to insulate [ SOLD double glazing for a few years and went on courses to show heat losses ]the reality is [ better glass now ] heat lost v turning heating down [ selling point ] is it would take decades to get your money back on replacement DG.

Roger Hallam confirmed he too would block an ambulance carrying a dying patient to get Extinction Rebellion's message across

The distressed woman can be seen pleading with activists to move so she can follow an ambulance rushing her 81-year-old mum to hospital.
Speaking on The London Economic Podcast, Hallam confirmed he too would have blocked her way.
He said he would have "stayed there" and confirmed he wouldn't move even if the emergency vehicle was carrying a dying patient.

Not the way I saw the interview at all. I suggest you had preconceived ideas, I don’t agree with their methods, but the points he made were completely valid. If we don’t change soon it will be too late.

The points are totally lost by one statement that he made, for me now if that happens it should treated as a hate crime and if the person in the ambulance dies it should be treated even more seriously. My 10 month old grandson has been in and out of hospital recently and is still not right, but these f****** morons would be happy to for him to possibly die for their pathetic stunt.

The hypocrisy of the people who lead these groups is mind numbing, one of this mob does not even have an insulated or double glazed house, maybe if he worked a bit more he would have, one of the leaders and founders of XR still drives a diesel vehicle that she claims she needs for the school run and even admits to a huge carbon footprint for long haul exotic holidays, but can't afford an electric car.

I feel I am doing my bit and probably more than these ****ers, I have an insulated and double glazed house, I own at great expense a hybrid car, my fuel consumption locally has gone down by 80 to 85% and 50% overall if I travel longer distances, but still subject to high car tax, My wife and I no longer have passports and the last time we actually flew anywhere was in 2007 a short flight from France to the UK and where I can I use public transport for longer journeys like my bi weekly trips to Bristol to watch City play. But I could still get caught up by one of their stunts, stunts that at this time of year causes even more pollution.

I would like to see them pull one of their stunts in Bristol the next time Millwall are in town, could be an enjoyable day out.

And neither is allowing people to die in ambulances the answer, in fact it’s far worse it’s cowardly and targeting vulnerable people and carried out by people who claim to be intelligent and caring.

It may not detract from the issues raised but XR and IB do not want the ordinary working people to join their cause or support them, because they do not care about those people, because their cause is far more about bringing down the capitalist system than climate change and they do not care about how they achieve that or who they hurt.

Sooner or later it will erupt into violence, the vast majority of people have had enough, IMHO the leadership is trying to attempt to provoke that violence, because it will suit their agenda.

But I think his words is tantamount to a threat of violence and might be the catalyst.

I accept your point. I do feel though if we don’t do something much more drastic than we’re planning at the moment, as a planed I mean the violence down the line will be much worse than anything aimed at those guys. I will probably not be here, but future generations will suffer big time.

earthshot a different slant on climate change and a REAL WORK in progress …………………. and bearing in mind new builds for the last decade + are all insulated [ even if you add a porch to front of your house it has to be insulated [ unless a pvc double glazed one …. ] Since I bought this house 40 years ago we get peeps wanting to insulate walls and lofts so the majority of houses are done … go out on a frosty day look at the rooves most are frosted the very odd one is not guess who is insulated!

what gives with these morons … they have pretty much lost ALL respect and the limited support there was after the past weeks revelations. A professor friend has worked out the consequences of their actions to date a bare minimum [ used minimum time involved first 8 stoppages...……..
imagine stopping all the traffic on the m5 between Avonmouth and Exeter on the busiest day of the summer and telling them to turn off their engines for 16 mins what was saved in pollution doing so is what they have caused.
Add in extra costs for dealing with arrested and what people had lost via time held up etc etc and the £'s go into the high 100's of 000's . weigh that against the number of houses needing insulation [ their figure of 29m to high ] and they are causing far far more damage than they are actually trying to cure.
POPULATION 65MILLION average of 3 per household = [ everyone in a house ] = 21m homes bear in mind over half are already in spec = 10m homes allow for blocks of flats and maybe 7m homes the .gov has already promised £200 toward each house [ if there are indeed 7million houses needing it ]

of course being no brains / iqzero's they will not be able to do simple arithemetic .. we should not be nasty to them but take pity on their inability to see the truth!

to be honest Not really given a lot of thought how to classify him he doesn't seem to practice what he preach's .. preys on old people with little regard to whether they are fit enough [ according to whistle blower really old ] and some pics do have some quite old peeps that need assistance …. !
