Ryan Bennett concerns me more. People keep telling me how good he is. Yes he is young. Yes he has a lot to learn but I have not seen a lot to make me think that we canot do without him! Every time he plays we look decidedly vulnerable.
I was offered 3 tickets for this game last Sunday evening but the flights were £187 and I thought it was a £300 day so no I'll give it a miss. Lucky fella!

Can anyone think of some positives for the remainder of the season? I was thinking at least Newcastle look as shocking as us but then they have som brilliant players to come back from injury. Doh
We're missing Ruddy and Bassong, who would have kept the score down. Hooper/Graham when or if they come will help raise the score in future games, but we need to find a way of playing the new striker + Holt. 4-4-2 diamond perhaps? I know it can leave us defensively vulnerable but we know it works! Hughton has to be bolder or we're going down I think.
Yup, Ruddy is proving to be a bigger miss than I expected and Bassong is just huge for us, we need another Bassong in CB. Not sure about up front as the main problem is at the other end.
The defensive tactics are fine if the intensity is there. We started off with no pressure on the ball and continued to do that for the remainder of the game. Give any team time and space and you will get hurt. We have made a very ordinary Liverpool side look world beaters twice this season. As poor as it gets I'm afraid.
I really hope Hughton comes out and apologies for that performance AND in particular apologises to those fans who made a bloody long journey in difficult conditions!
