Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Silly boy. Let everyone down, club, fans, colleagues, family and self. Still all done now and up to him and Colin to get his career back on track. Not when he plays us though. Likely to be another in the long line of City players to be scoring for his new club soon.
At least the mystery has been clarified. Good on City for their action in removing him from the club and for being professional in not throwing rocks in reply. A situation that could easily have been mishandled.
It's come out now that he was banned for 3 months for another cocaine positive test just 6 months before the one that got him chucked out of the club. Apparently he tested positive previously in Dec 2019 and received a 3 month ban but we never heard about it. He was out for 5 months with that torn hamstring and couldn't have played anyway. All brushed under the carpet at the time. Stupidity or what?
From Forrest Gump, "Stupid is as stupid does". I hope he doesn't transgress again, for the sake of his family, but I wouldn't bet on it. Having been to our game at Reading in August 2019 where we got thumped 3.0, he was like a spare part at a wedding, wandering around like he didn't have a clue, I wouldn't be surprised if he had sampled something then. I think Colin made him stay on the pitch out of spite.
I used to work for a anti drug charity, I won't be easy for him. I feel sorry he's not the only one taken in.
