Did the Belgian play a blinder? well yes and no (I am no Lawyer) ….. The main Asset of CAFC (which the Belgian sold to ESI) is it's membership of the EFL. This main asset was subject to agreement of the EFL to transfer which they have not yet given but the main liabilities of CAFC are the staff contracts (both players and support staff) which can only be transferred under TUPE so if CAFC went under staff could argue that the Belgian was still responsible for their redundancies as he should have known that ESI did not have the resources to pay any redundancies. Also, the Belgian retained a 'Power of Attorney' over CAFC after the sale which would suggest he has some sort of control at ESI and that the sale at the start of January was not a clean break and that the Belgian has a duty of care for the Assets of CAFC.
Yes, it is good news, even though it's humiliating that it must be monitored because of the way those two twats are wrecking everything. Plenty of other Clubs' workers will be even more worried I expect, because of the general situation.
Thanks for posting that Glad we have confirmation that staff were paid on April 30th - assuming this bloke is telling the truth. One simple question - is the EFL registration embargo still in place? I guess the answer is yes. Nice that Southall is still sending his 'expenses' bills to the Club expecting them to be paid. What expenses can he have? Isn't he locked down like the rest of us? Locked down He ought to be locked up.
So the Spiv Southall is having his ill-gotten goodies confiscated by the Rozzers. About time too. And the EFL have now approved Borat and all the other CAFC directors. Happy days. And the EFL registration embargo has now been lifted? Erm... no.
A wake-up call for anybody beginning to think that Nimer and his dodgy chums might actually be OK. No money for testing kits. No assurance that staff will be paid this month. No communication between Nimer and our manager. A plea to the 3 ex-directors - don't let this slippery character fool you into dropping your court case. ESI is not fit to own CAFC. We have had four months of solid evidence of this now.
It is clear CAFC means nothing to Nimer. CAFC means nothing to Matt Southall either, contrary to all his insincere posturing. And CAFC means nothing to Duchatelet. All of these parties are just involved for what they can get out of it. The only people our Club means anything to are the fans, the manager and the ex-directors.
Lardi, What is our Points Per Game, goals scored & Goals conceded this season under... a) The Belgian b) ESI Cheers
Under the Belgian ... games 1 to 25 Played 25 Won 7 (28%) Drew 7 (28%) Lost 11 (44%) Points 28 Points per game 1.12 League position after 25 games 19th Goals for 34 Goals against 36 Under ESI ... games 26 to 37 Played 12 Won 3 (25%) Drew 2 (16%) Lost 7 (59%) Points 11 Points per game 0.92 League position after 12 games 22nd Goals for 10 Goals against 18 If Charlton had continued to pick up points at the rate of 1.12 per game (average) after ESI took over, we would currently have 41 or 42 points (not 39). Our slightly better GD would mean we would probably be somewhere between 18th and 21st place (not 22nd). However, if we compare the SAME number of games played before & after ESI took over Charlton's form has actually improved under ESI; Last 12 games under the Belgian ... games 14 to 25 Played 12 Won 1 (8%) Drew 4 (33%) Lost 7 (59%) Points 7 Points per game 0.58 Goals for 15 Goals against 20
