May be nufc doing this in order to avoid an injury but according to twitter, Ranger has been pulled out of the England U20's due to injury. Exactly what we didn't need.

Oh god i love lovenkrands but as a solo striker surely this would warrant an emergency loan clause?
Ranger and Best know the situation, so don't want to risk needless injuries playing internationally. That's why they've pulled out
Probably (hopefully) the case with Ranger, but we wouldn't have replaced Best with Guthrie moments after equalising if Best wasn't injured. He made no attempt at all to run it off so I fear it could be something serious.
Hopefully it's precautionary measures, rather than actual injury. Feel sorry for the lads for having to pull out of internationals, but great respect to them for doing it for the club if that's the case.
