This would be the best option for us. We need pace quality and creativity, Fletch will score goals he just needs the service.

The truth is Jelavic is exactly the sort of player we could get and no better because of the position were in.

That's why I think we'll go for him ........ all this talk of Ba and Defoe is nonsense imo.

pigs will fly, backwards with helmets on....before we sign one of these two, or anyone else we'd really want.

Jelavic i'm just not sure - why can't he get goals in a free scoring Everton team? There's probably more chance he'll score than Ji, though. One in, one out....shake it all about.

Problem with that is a gulf between the two wages. Just don't think Jelavic will be worth the wages for him to struggle to score here.

Thing is mate, Bent has always been a goalscorer. Even when warming the Spurs bench, he still scored 15+ a season.

Jelavic, like Cisse, came flying out of the traps last season like untried foreign strikers can do. Once found out, they don't seem to have any plan B, to continue their free scoring ways. It would be a No from me.

Anybody think we could get Ashley Cole at left back for half a season to solve our left back problem? Seems to have fallen out of favour at Chelsea.

Supposed to have this Alonso coming in. But apart from that, are we able to have anymore loans?

Hmmm, think we would need to make one of our loan signings permanent first. (good point actually), Ki?

Was just thinking with him not playing and the World Cup coming up, he needs to be playing. Forgot all about Alonso, tbh.

A bit of a surprise this one, but, I've always liked the look of James Morrison at West Brom. A very good footballer, he is tidy on the ball, would suit our style of play under Poyet and can create plenty of chances.

Darlo lad eh? Don't think he creates enough, not managed an assist all season. Would be a good squad player no doubt but squad players are not what we need imo.

I would take Jelavic. He is an instinctive centre forward who plays off the last man

Fletch is good, but plays too deep. I think Jelavic and fletch could work well together

To be fair, the stats don't look very impressive this season, but I'm not a fan of stats as they can never tell a true picture. I haven't seen much of him this season, but in previous seasons I've liked what I saw. He's got bags of pace as well, always a bonus.

If Di Fanti undermines Poyet then it's time to pull up stumps and go home
