Suggesting Bruce might be playing a bit of funny buggers? What would he stand to gain though other than missing out on a target if another club matches the bid?
I would be suprised if moves arnt made to either find out who is doing it or to further limit the number of people who are in the know.
I was speaking in general. Not about this incident. When you have two clubs and an agent involved and lots of cash I wouldn't put it past any of them to seek an advantage. Leaking info is a tactic these days and it is so easy with a captive media audience fuelled by twenty four hour coverage. It is also impossible to know what is going in and who might gain from leaking something. Some of the best misinformation works precisely because the audience think they know what is going on and that complacency is played on. I have no idea who leaked the info here but, not pointing fingers I don't think you lot In this thread can pass judgement with apparent certainty.
I don't think Bruce is fibbing in this instance but i would never rule it out. If he was trying to bump up our players value we'd be loving his deceit.
It's more than likely the agent of Jelavić. Using it in an attempt to flush out any last minute interest from other clubs.
Fair enough, I just don't see what he stands to gain from inviting rival bids and turning Jela's head.
It doesn't matter, other clubs would have contacted Everton anyway if they they were truly interested in Jelavic. I think this constant fear of bids going public is over hyped by fans. There are no hidden away players that nobody knows about. All clubs have a full list of other clubs' players. Bottom line is if Jelavic wants to play for Hull City, he's welcome. If he turns his back for more money elsewhere, then **** him. I also would like to see us develop a proper academy and grow our own players.
SSN were reporting that Jelavic will be having talks tomorrow. Hopefully they go smoothly and get the medical sorted.
Well one of the big Everton Forums are saying that they have heard that Villa are now in for Jelavic.
The Billy Boys bit will go down real well with Brady, McShane, Meyler, and Quinniesta (oh and Long if he decides to join)
They are quoting some newspaper called the Sunday People. Have you heard of it? I cant find it online.
It's a subsidiary of the Daily Mirror. Can't find anything at all by them at the moment in regards to Jelavic.
