Perhaps they did learn. They placed a huge amount of trust in Steve Bruce and still came close to ‘doing their bollocks on the whole thing’. That last promotion was anything but convincing. They then decided that the situation was now right to start their exit strategy. We’re witnessing this; how smart it is isn’t relevant. Lots of us wished they’d **** off, but...
No, they don’t; how it’s turned out speaks volumes. Memberships really aren’t a major concern for them; another thing that’s been overestimated.
Can we have a poll for how much posters have over or under estimated the Allams? Or out of a 100 how much have you over estimated them or under. Obvs.
when Bruce was here he spent £40 million for our second season in the Prem and then got us relegated - that's why the Allams don't want to invest any more money - it really isn't difficult
The Allams don't want to invest money because of Bruce spending money during our 2nd season in the Prem. No offence but are you pissed or just thick?
Maguire wasn't - he only started 17 games - Junior started 9 and he was injured most of the season - Davies 37 and Dawson 32 - Maguire was well pissed off playing second fiddle to Junior http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-second-fiddle-Steve-Bruce-s-son-Alex.html Maguire, 21, joined Hull Cty from the Blades in the summer for £2.5million and has been left kicking his heels following the Tigers' exit from Europe and the Capital One Cup. “The one thing I have said to Harry is that if there is not enough game time for him, then we will maybe look to put him out on loan. “It is something we may look at. At the moment, I am just delighted that Harry is with us and getting used to playing in the training regimes. “He is only a young boy – the future is very bright for him – he is just going to have to be a little bit patient.” Maguire always was better than Junior unfortunately Brucie was more interested in molly coddling Juniors playing career and giving him a stellar cv rather than focussing on what was best for Hull City - the only manager who deserves any credit for Maguires rise is Marco Silva
its obviously a difficult concept for you to understand so I'll spell it out for you 1 the Allams invested heavily in Steve Bruce and gave him a £40 million war-chest / investment for our second season in the Prem 2. Steve Bruce ****ed up and got us relegated even though we had the seventh highest spend in the Prem that season If you were the Allams would you give Steve Bruce any more money - I wouldn't - personally I'd have sacked him there and then to Brucie's credit he got us back in the Prem - however there was no way they were going to give him another £40 million Brucie wasn't happy with the team he'd put together and didn't think it was good enough for the Prem so he ****ed off
Who did we spend 40 million on? Is that minus the 12 million we got for long? Ben arfa and that Uruguayan who's name escapes me were loans.
And by how much was that profit inflated by the new Sky/TV deals? Or is one of the reasons the Allams want out is because of this money? As astronomical an amount it all adds up to, it is not enough to fund a sustainable prem club. They would have to chip in a few shillings themselves. My definition of sustainable are the ever present clubs since football was invented. Oh yes and Man City. Proper run club with strict financial guidelines
Phil Buckingham's thoughts on the chances of the out of contract players still being here next season: Hernandez 2/10 Dawson 2/10 McGregor 4/10 Larsson 5/10 Meyler 5/10 Clark 6/10 Diomande 2/10 Odubajo 6/10 https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/who-stays-who-goes-any-1464827
Livermore £7m Snodgrass £6m Ince £2m Maguire £2.5m Robertson £2.85m Dawson £3.5m Lenihan £200k Hernandez £10m Diame £4m Luer £100k N'Doye £3m Total = £41.15m Long £12m Boyd £3m Net spend = £26.15m Not that much really, particularly when you consider that we've subsequently got over £60m from selling some of them.
