Erm ... think that might go to Sir Alex and Eric Cantona, but I understand your sentiment.

No one forgets a slight totally. He will want to win for the 3 points, but showing off to Nicola would just add a bit of spice.
If, they win, you just know that Pardew will turn and look up at the Directors box and hold a stare for a moment or too. Hope we don't get to see that.
Pardew wont be the slightest bit bothered now. Hew has an 8 year contract which presumably would make him very rich should he ever be sacked. We are a distant memory.
From a Saints point of view, Adkins hands down but I think to the neutral, Pardew would be named the better manager, purely because he has more of a record than Adkins in the top flight
Nicola won't be there...he will be outside strapping a bomb under the team coach.
Pundits think very highly of Nigel. MOTD's Colin Murray actually said he's a bloody miracle worker and nobody disagreed. Slightly off topic, but nobody mentions Paul Lambert when listing good managers. Two promotions on the spin and PL survival. That's not bad at all.
I suspect he'd be getting more praise if he were still at Norwich. But so far, this move to Villa hasn't done his CV much good.
I'm not surprised that Lambert wanted to better himself - with all due respect to Norwich, they're hardly going to be challenging for the Champions League any time soon - but I think the move to Villa was a mistake. Based more on their name (when you say Aston Villa, you instantly think Premiership club), then their actual current situation (ie poor squad, just survived relegation, seemingly not too much money available to spend etc).
He'd have been better off staying at Norwich and waiting for a better job to come around.
