Bit of a daft thing to say really, for a bloke who supposedly doesn't want to be here he's not really showing it is he? Guessing if you're signing players and shaping the squad you want you can't wait to jump ship can you? I heard NP was not fully aware of the seriousness of our financial situation when he first arrived and perhaps you've taken that and exaggerated it into saying he didn't want to be here. He's not an idiot, if he didn't want to be here he'd have stayed put at Leicester or waited for another manager's position to come up. It's no wonder people give you a hard time when you come out with crap such as this.

NP has done very well with certain things such as his recruitment of players, but very poorly with other things like attacking sometimes, having a plan B, and getting the best out of anyone over 25 (excluding Barmby ;))

He's not as bad as Percy sometimes makes out, but he's not the genius some make him out be either. It's more somewhere in between.

People just copy off each other on here sometimes, the general consensus is that NP has done a brilliant job, so that's what people feel they have to follow.

Based on his achievements with us so far, he's okay-ish.

A good assessment of the issue. NP is a good manager, but he's no Mourinhio, if he was he wouldn't be here. He has his shortcomings but there aren't many managers who don't, and these are things Nigel can improve on. Think we can make a better judgement on NP this season and barring a very poor season he'll still be here this time next year. I'm happy to have him as the manager of our football club, he seems to be a competent manager at this level and we're probably better off now than we would have been with Dowie. Hopefully he'll be the one to take us forward and progress season by season, but it's a case of wait and see what happens.

For me, Pearson has done exactly as I expected. He finished mid table with the left overs of a previous squad. With the amount of departures we had last year I'm glad we achieved that. Now he has a shoestring budget and he's still committed to building a squad capable of challenging for promotion. He's clearly passionate and backs his players (the whole "well done for booing your own players" episode proves this) which is only going to help boost their confidence. I think Perky, you're hugely harsh to criticize him after one season in charge. He's building his own squad of his own players now and should be judged from here. He's not the worlds best manager as some insinuate on here, but he is OUR manager and should have the backing of ALL of the supporters from here on in. How would you like it if you had to walk into a job were your first 6 months are spent cleaning up after the previous regime?

I haven't seen anything from him to show that we'll be any better this season. I do back him when I'm at matches, I don't stand there and shout "Pearson out" repeatedly.

I guess we'll see how he does this season now he has no excuses, but I'm not going to pretend I think he's a footballing genius like some do on here. "i saw the premier league tigers"s post probably sums it up best.

I can tell you that NP is totally committed ti City; you doubters will eat your words in seasons to come. Not sure about next season but a killer team will emerge with this guy.

Maybe because the transfer window doesn't actually open till july 1st and we're still sorting out whether we can get the likes of bullard off the wage bill before bringing anyone else in? We don't want another financial crisis do we? I still don't see how you fail to recognize we have improved. Our huge unbeaten away streak is a sign of great improvement. Yes our home form needs sorting but everyone knows this, I'm sure Pearson will have thought about ways to improve it. Stop being such a pessimist.

Pearson has done outstandingly well. With the exception of Adebola, if we sign him! Pearson will go on to be our most successful manager ever IMHO.

The sack of **** squad/morale/ability he inherited from the previous regime to get rid of the ****, bring in the new, and shape a team that with 4 games to go still had a chance of the play offs was an absolute ****ing miracle. Swansea fans waxed lyrical about us at the liberty when in a 10 minute spell we could and should have scored 4.

Most managers shape their team pre season, Pearson made wholesale changes throughout. If we'd have had the squad that finished the season, at the start of the season, I think we'd have finished in the top 2.

People forget Pearson had a heart attack during the season, I wouldn't question his committment to the club, this nuisance posting by 'Percy/TWF' is getting a bit much again, he's even spoiling the thread about fans ages now, I'd ask again if we can have a vote as to whether we want to keep him posting here instead of one person (OLM) deciding.

Yes agree with those sentiments; we have a good manager; a great owner and the basis of a skilful team. A long way to go I know, but considering where this club have come from things are looking good for future generations of fans. I really beleive this club will be a force in seasons to come.

I am an old grumpy surpporter who has suffered from following city, but never, never gave up the faith. I find it galling when the current generation grumble about the club. We have much to be proud of and a lot to look forward to.

In fairness he's probably committed now, but he'd probably have rather stayed at Leicester.

A good philanthropist would though. OK, he's giving his money to a football team and not a charity, but I honestly don't think he's in it for the money. I don't see how he could be.
