Hey these years are wonderful, we did our "Golden" last year and because of restrictions we are going to celebrate it on our 51st this year, I can honestly say I love her now as much as the day I married her, it's Bristol City that gives me the heartbreak but oh the memories..
39 years married for us this coming October

I had 12 years after total 16+ years... [school days!] …. 18 months [14 years difference didn't really work with a selfish mum in law!!!] … now 40 years total of 42 years! would be 60 with the first!
I've found that the key to a successful marriage is to master the technique of fooling the wife into believing that she's in charge - that sneaky strategy has worked for me with Mrs R&W for the past 33 years - thankfully she doesn't read these boards, so she'll never realise that I've been running things all along!
