Official announcement due this evening. Alistair Durden @alidurdenBBC ·2m #BristolCity have appointed Nigel Pearson as manager
He has his work cut out. I like the Manager, not Head Coach title, it just conveys a greater sense of position.
Good evening, all. Thank you for the kind messages and warm welcome. I'm delighted to be back in management and working for @BristolCity, a proud, progressive football club. I will give my all to improve our fortunes. Cheers, Nige. #BristolCity
Well I hope he can do the business, I wish him well and hope he gets our club back on track, with the first priority maintaining our championship status...Will be nice just to get a few decent results.....I'm sure at some point there will be fireworks, lets hope they are positive ones..
Does that mean he gets a budget, and spends time looking for players and sorting out contracts? He has done quite well in the past and starts his tenure with a very hard run of games. I am hoping we see a few more points in the bag and a top 6 finish, I would like to go to Wembly again. Maybe there will be a chance crowds will be allowed?
Great news and someone we can all unite behind. The last time I felt so good about a management appointment was Coppell. Excitement tempered with worry!!!
Wembley??? No chance, get real, squad has no quality! Even the games we won we played with no fluidity, our game went south when Andy Weimann got injured!
A positive appointment at last !! I hope the owner, board and co have learned a hard lesson for all the awful managerial decisions they've made over the last 15 years or so. Welcome Nige and let's see some action Up the City !
