Problem is he doesn't appear to be able to build a sandcastle.

We've been crying out for a combative centre mid since his return and he's done nothing about it. The only one we did have he shipped out on loan.

As soon as SSL got injured he should of gone into the market for an experienced centre back on loan and then extended/purchased in January, instead he's loaned a kid from man utd who IMO isn't actually that good. He then decided to ship out an experienced championship defender on loan leaving himself with Wes, Keane and Whitbread (whose fitness leaves much to be desired) as our only 3 centre backs and then blames Wes Morgans absence for our defeat at Oakwell.

He decides a regular scorer at this level of football isnt what he wants so he buys a non-league striker and a hungarian fella who's only decent game previously was against us. That didnt work out for him so he buys a decent striker then just as things are looking good he appears to fall out with him and he hasnt come close to scoring since. Don't even get me started on Harry Kane.

With his resources he's done a pi** poor job. Get rid.

Completely agree with the above. In January instead of really cementing our lofty position Pearson stuck with what we had complacently believing we would continue to steamroller everyone. It was clear that beyond our first 11 we didn't have enough options or experience so when loss of form, injuries struck we would be ****ed. Some of his signings and decisions are baffling. In the summer and January he had enough money to give us the squad we needed to go up. Then when a defeat or 2 came we could rotate, but our back up players are just white, young or both. He even had the loan window but with us short of defensive options he loans out Moore and St ledger and signs a **** striker. Baffling beyond belief. The likes of dorrans could have been bought in Jan nd 3 or 4 so we could rotate I agree he has to go now.

Stop moaning! In Jan he bought in Wood who was sh*t hot and you can only sign who is available!

I believe we tried to get Trotter but that deal wasnt to be done.

In the summer we will go back in for our main targets, which is easier to do, and get the squad we need to go up.

True, he was asked yesterday if he regrets not bringing in 1 or 2 before the loan window shut but he said the problem is the right players being available. he obviously had a look around and made some enquiries but to no avail.

The summer is the time to do the business.

Stick with him and we will bring in more Knockaerts and Marshalls (of old)

    I agree

If we had Chris Wood for the whole season just think where we would be

Lets shift some high earners like Beckford, Danns, Konchesky, St. Ledger, Wellens and Gallagher. Let Nigel recruit some more talent like Ritchie De Laet, Anthony Knockaert, Danny Drinkwater and next season we should do it if we dont this season

A change in manager will put us back to square 1

What would sacking Pearson achieve? Assuming the worst and we don't succeed in the play offs (still confident we will be there) I can't see the owners throwing mega millions in transfer money again so what would the point be? If we go up they will spend but giving someone half a dozen games without being able to do anything with the squad would do nothing, particularly if they don't already have a replacement lined up. Mind you that's what they could be trying to do now.

I think if Pearson was going to be sacked it would have happened yesterday, so he'll get til the end of the season and dependant on play-offs whether he's here next season.

Waiting for this post to come back and bite me on the arse!!

Our defence is fine, we got keane so didnt need dawson.

Gary oneil isnt great. Tunnicliffe is unproven. Dorrans is still at west brom and playing. Jerome Thomas was recalled by west brom despite leeds wanting to keep him.

Who did we miss out on who actually moved to another club?

One win in eleven is relegation not promotion form and the buck has to stop with the manager for such a run ... period.

Now I'm not advocating sacking Pearson at this stage because that might just scupper any last hopes of making the play-offs ... but ask yourselves this ... if any other team in this division had won one in eleven, what would your thoughts be about their manager? - what would we have been posting on the Hull board for instance?

My feeling (and that is all it is) is that Nigel gets blinded by his ego on occasion - loaning Danns out without bringing in another ball winner in midfield has been very costly ... James, King and Drinkwater are all good footballers (and King has a better than average goal threat in him) but none of them really fit the 'combative' category and that has been a huge managerial gaff IMHO ... being a manager isn't just about being a good coach on the training ground - you also have to 'man manage' ... and that side looks pretty damn poor right now IMHO.

Look we dont know about Danns but something obviously happened.

NP tried to ship out the egos and maybe danns was one of them.

We know he i a good player but when he was on the bench he wasnt willing to fight for his place and NP didnt like that.

... with respect ed ... your last sentence is pure speculation ... suspect that if Pearson goes there will be a lot of people (Danns, Mills, Beckford) lining up to have their say about his 'management skills' ...

Remember Saints away last season? Imagine the majority of that team now with morgan, de laet and knockaert included in it. Add one or two wise signings to the squad and I think we'd be in a much better position now.
