Don't get me wrong, I dislike Ferguson and I really dislike Man Utd but Pearson's name should not appear in the same sentence as Fergusons. Arrogance is an unpleasant trait at the best of times but arrogance at the work place when you're bottom of the pile and clearly out of your depth is even worse. Humility and basic manners are something Pearson doesn't possess or that appears to be the case. Rightly or wrongly you can get away with being a prick when you're good at your job. When you're not it just makes you look like a proper tit.
Hope the 4 points can console you for impending relegation , taking points off teams means nothing in a one off game , by your logic we are better than Everton
Ok, so you're only allowed to be yourself if you're successful. Got it. Sorry, but I always though Ferguson was a dick successful or not.
There is a difference between being a master wind up merchant and just swearing, it just demonstrates a lack of command of the English language.
If the worst happens and we are relegated I reckon at least half of our current eleven would be sort after possibly one or two more
Sorry Proud ... whatever the provocation, he shouldn't have called anyone a **** so he was wrong in that - more worryingly for Nigel, Thai culture is all about politeness and I doubt the owners would have been overly impressed. Mourhino, Van Gaal, Wenger etc would have put the guy in his place without resorting to bad language to do it ...
Yes! Someone that agrees with me! Im not saying its right but it's a good bit of banter and quite funny to see. Shows a bit of personality too. Youve got to laugh at these things really dont you...!
Not really, not if you're adrift at the bottom of the table when he does it. I'd be more concerned than amused, but each to their own.
Should probably warn you that whenever Brady posts, especially at 3am, he is off his face on alcohol.
Pearson can't win, hes either accused of spouting the same speil or hes accused of saying something that isn't just the same speil. I don't blame that reaction tbh, the reporter basically says half way through something about the season "waxing away", he may as well have said "now your practically relegated ...." of course hes going to piss Pearson off.
.. being pissed off is understandable and he was certainly 'provoked' no question ... but that's what the press are paid to do ... and part of being a football manager's job is, rightly or wrongly, dealing with press conferences ... it's something you have to 'manage' ... and calling a guy a ***** isn't really managing the situation that well ...
I must be in the minority then cos it made me cringe, Whether we like it or not, football is a business, and a manager in any other industry that swore whilst representing their employers would be severely disciplined or sacked for gross misconduct. Apparently, socially, he is a warm and humorous fellow - think it is that side that people would want to see more of in his press conferences, rather than the boring monologue we usually get. I actually still think we have a slim chance, but their needs to be a lot more belief shown on the pitch than we have seen over recent weeks. TBF I am surprised that he wasnt sacked on the spot bearing in mind the Thai belief in honour and prestige.
