To be fair, I think you'll have a job finding any Hull City fan that's angry or bitter at the moment.
Stringer said when he left that hes a hard interview, i guess you have more chance of getting blood out of a stone than a straight answer out of him The thing about NP is that he doesn't want to overpromise anything, he keeps his feet well and truly on the ground, hes not like 'arry who says "we can win the premier league". I don't care if he never got interviewed tbh, leave him to fix things if theres a problem, as long as the players play well on the pitch, win or lose, then i don't care if he went into hiding after matches. Sounds like from the points you have mentioned in the original post that hes happy with the defence, good, i think thats the best thing that Sven has done for us. Final third looks like the area he will strengthen most, im sure he will buy the right players. Keep the faith
First Post, but been hovering for a while. I can understand why we get grief from other club's supporters with articles like this. We open ourselves up for it. I thought we'd go for someone bigger and better than Nigel and wasn't happy that he came. More time should of been taken with this appointment, we could of done better. I don't believe in stepping back, that's us not him. If this appointment goes tits up (and it increasingly looks like it will) as it did with Sven when do we start holding the board / owners responsible for iffy managerial appointments. Having the most money in the Championship means nothing if we keep employing wasters as managers.
We are fourth in the league and 9pts clear of you so on the basis of that, I think we are fairly happy. BTW... In the space of 3 days, we made t-shirts for Barmby. Also... In the space of 18 months, we didn't manage to make t-shirts for Pearson... how boring!!!
If you're not bitter then why are Hull fans constantly calling him a 'money grabbing mercenary' when all he's done is left one club for a bigger and better club that's highly ambitious?
Jimmy Bullard gets called a money grabbing mercenary on a regular basis and he left months ago, Fraizer Campbell is always referred to as a money grabbing mercenary and he left in 2008. It's not necessarily bitterness, it's more just a reflection of the way they behaved, or the way they left us.
Yeah, but Pearson isn't a money grabbing mercenary. It strikes as bitter because you're clutching at straws.
This is the worst "thread" I've seen. Give up everyone! We don't need daft arguments like this on here, even if you think the people with a different view are complete muppets. Please close this thread.
If you don't like these daft arguments then don't come here and ruin every thread. What this thread has to do with Dull is beyond me, yet they continue to moan about Pearson. Then they even have the cheek to moan when they are called bitter
But both of those players and Pearson left you for bigger and better. Why do fans have this resentment for players that do the inevitable? I don't have any problems that DJ Campbell is now plying his trade in the Premiership...
I do. **** footballer and a total ****er But he would of been better off finacially staying here then going to Blackpool I think had he stayed Sven would of got the best out of him
The problem with Bullard was he earned a fortune and was never available, but was always out in the city centre getting pissed with his minders, which is not a great way to endear yourself to the clubs supporters. I wouldn't say he left for bigger things either, he's on less than half the money, mainly on the bench of a club currently in 19th place. With Campbell it was more the fact that he said he was definitely going to sign for us, kept us hanging on while he was at the U21 Euro's, then at the last minute signed elsewhere. If he'd been honest, he wouldn't have been blamed, there's plenty of players that have left for Premier League clubs, who left with our understanding and blessing, it was just the manner of his departure. I'm sure you have several players regarded in a similar way.
