.. this possibility, amongst footballers generally, was recently debated on TalkSport i.e do certain players try to de-rail promotion because they know that they will be shipped out the following season as they won't be good enough for the league above? - the conclusion was that no player woud actually do that (from ex-players) but it is a moot point - personally don't think that is the case with ours - although the way some of them have been playing
Not a chance in hell players go out there with the mentality of playing ****e just so they don't get promotion. I'm sure they would all be on healthy promotion bonuses. Just nonsense to even think any player would do or contemplate this.
So back on song Miami fox we just have a totally useless manager who can't motivate his players for what ever reason. We are now down to a six game season ....I'm afraid I don't see how he will turn it around especially after stating we have missed drinkwater, probably his worse signing
Drinkwater, his worst signing???? You are joking right? Granted, he is no Iniesta, however for the most part this season he has been pretty consistent in midfield. To suggest he has been a worse signing than Vardy or Futacs for example is ridiculous imo. As for Pearson being a useless manager, I assume you were not of that opinion for the first 6 months of the season, he has just become a useless manager because of the current dreadful run? Don't get me wrong, Pearson is not a "great" manager never will be, but is a "good" manager at this level. He is trying to build something here, but we all know in football there is not a lot of patience. 6 cup finals left, lets give it our all !!
There's lots of good managers in the championship, but it takes a special manager to get you out of it.as far as drinkwater is concerned, very much like gally one good game out of six can't pass and certainly can't control the midfield. Would rather have wellens in there and he is past his best
I think the vast majority of Leicester fans would strongly disagree Whitwick on DD, however we are all entitled to our opinions....right or wrong.!
I think Drinkwater has done OK ... but I'm not quite sure what his role is supposed to be - if you compare him to Neil Lennon as holding or Muzzy Izzet as attacking, then you can see that there is currently a gulf in class ...
In fairness to Drinkwater he has lacked a decent partner all season, Andy King started the season well but has declined as the season went on. Matty James is a very good team player but doesnt contribute much creatively. And when Knockaert, Marshall and Dyer arent of form Drinkwater is pretty much left on his own in midfield to create things
It wasn't too long ago that i couldn't really improve the team that was playing well. I though in Jan we just needed strikers, we got one. Did think we needed to strengthen the overall squad, but the team were playing so well, i couldn't see anyone that was available in Jan coming in and being in the starting 11.
Could it not simply be that far more than an average number of our players are currently off-form? If so, then it's statistically unlikely to last much longer and we'll make the playoffs. The Foxes average performances this season have been very good, even if the final result in some of those games didn't reflect the fact that we completely dominated a huge number of them. Only time will tell if I'm right. If I am, we could well hit peak form for the playoffs..
Agree, we dominated Charlton, Wolves and BBrn at the start of the season with no points, but thats the luck of this league unfortunately.
