As some of you may be aware I have been one of NP's biggest fans but equally I have nothing but admiration and respect for our current owners! I think that Pearsons eventual sacking is a culmination of several events over the course of last season and what happened in Thailand was the straw that broke the Camel's back ! As Nigel is an ambassador for the " Kick it out " anti racism campaign, he should of, at the very least publicly stated that those allegations were very serious and if following an internal investigation were found to be true, he would insist the contracts of all involved be terminated ! He should also have publicly apologised to our owners and the Thai Nation for such ill disciplined behaviour happening on his watch. You see , that's what I don't get, NP could have been seen to be very concerned to these allegations and on a personal level, ashamed for the fact that his son was involved? Nigel Pearson is a very good Manager, but given a choice between him or our owners and what they have done for our club, the latter get my vote on this. I feel it is such a shame that on this occasion, NP's arrogance or ignorance has been his eventual downfall?
There is no doubt about that so why dont he lose the attitude and grow up.....he has the potential to go far but as he is then i would not want him at my club...
I see him as like a Robbie Savage type, brilliant when hes on your side, annoying as hell for anyone outside of the club. I think he has the potential to be a Big Sam level manager, but i would be surprised if his next job is in the Premier League, probably goto a team expecting to be promoted from the Championship next year and falling short, maybe QPR, Mboro, Derby etc
I agree ... and tbf I think a Championship club with possibilities of promotion is a better option for him at this point in time ... he likes to build his teams and going into a relegation battle in the Prem with somebody elses' players may not play to that strength ...
Very possible if an investigation was taking place. It's commonplace for organisations to make no or little comment pending the results of an internal investigation.
I was thinking last night he should maybe take some time away from the game to think about his actions - and the put himself in line for the first lower Prem job when heads start rolling. Although, come to think of it, I wonder what the odds are for us to be the first to fire our manager after the season starts in earnest...
