I assume NA doesn't hold it against Jackson.
But having a really popular ex-player as your assistant must be a pain in the neck sometimes for a besieged gaffer.

Looks like Adkins is going nowhere soon so we just have to get on with it and hope he turns it around.

Adkins making wholesale changes each game suggests he is clutching at straws/does not know his best team/wtf he is doing.
I hope to come back from Lincoln with a good performance, a point plus would be nice.
Apart from a dreadful Crewe, the other four games have seen awful performances.

A few wins and a climb up the table away from relegation & towards the top half, and there may be hope.
It's unlikely to happen with 5 or 6 changes to the team every week, so here's hoping that settles down.
More of the same (fewer than one win in three, and more than one defeat in three) and Charlton won't escape the relegation dogfight.
And that situation will be a million miles from good enough in the third tier.

NA has never really had a connection to the fans, in the way that ex-players Curbs, SCP and Bowyer did. Even Parky had some empathy from the fans despite his dreadful relegation team, and Millwall Bob likewise, and Jose Riga come to that. Karel Fraeye had a certain type of connection to one particular slug-coated fan

While I bemoan the chopping and changing along with everyone else, you have to consider that some of these players were blatantly unfit, and simply couldn't manage 90 minutes, and I fear Nigel was forced to change simply to guarantee that some of the team could last the full 90. No inside info, but the state of some of the team at 70 minutes suggests there may have been more to the perpetualy changes than mere desperation. That said, we should have them mostly up to speed now, so I'd hope we can start to field a settled squad. The sensations at Fleetwood were a lot better (despite another swathe of changes) so fingers crossed he is imposing his system on the team now, and it wasn't simply another flash in the pan.
Unfit players should be up to speed after 4 to 5 weeks max, if the training regime is a decent one and properly enforced.
Here we are now, about 7 weeks from the end of the transfer window by the time we play our next game.
Any player still unfit is either injured or his head isn't focused.
I don't want to see any more players struggling for fitness during the matches.
If they're carrying knocks they should not be playing anything like 90 minutes anyway.

i like to give people a chance. i think that chance hasnt been taken - he needs to go. 10 or 11 points off 6th. we can still make it, just, if we act now
Me too, something is amiss with his coaching and they don’t appear to be playing as a unit/team - I’d accept mid table comfort at the moment
