He doesn't fit the liverpool model, he's lazy on the pitch and unsettling in the dressing room! Probably why he wasn't signed the last time.
No thanks

definately cannot see it happening, we've already got some oldies, do we want to end up with a collection of 30somethings.

He'll just delay the development/gelling of someone else if he came, apart from that couldn't hurt for 4m but it is just not going to happen. I doubt he is on anyone's radar at the club

Anelka has suffered from having to play the right wing role for us. Through the middle he could still do a very good job for someone. However he would now be behind Drogba, Torres and Sturridge in that role for us and with Lukaku waiting in the wings. He's been a good player for us but probably the next casualty of the rebuild.

Have to say I very much enjoyed that West Brom equaliser and the SWP goal being disallowed. Isn't it annoying when a bad decision costs you points!! What goes around....

Anyway:)
==============
This was the piece I mentioned to the OP, I think it's more likely than him back to you!

NICOLAS ANELKA will be offered a route out of Chelsea by QPR in January.

Stamford Bridge boss Andre Villas-Boas is plotting a shock move for Newcastle youngster Sammy Ameobi, and French forward Anelka has not yet been offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Anelka is facing up to the fact he will be heading out of the club next year. The 32-year-old would become a free agent in the summer but Rangers boss Neil Warnock is looking to swoop in January.

They are willing to pay wages of up to £90,000 a week to get the goals that could keep them in the Premier League, and Anelka would love the chance to remain in London.

QPR are also monitoring Andy Johnson’s situation at Fulham, while Juventus forward Amauri could join on a loan deal after falling out of favour in Serie A.

Anelka and Didier Drogba have been chasing new deals at Chelsea, but both are frustrated at the fact they have not penned extensions.

Emerging stars Daniel Sturridge and Romelu Lukaku are considered the long-term strike force at the Bridge, along with £50million man Fernando Torres.

Drogba is wanted by Dubai-based Al Wasl – managed by Diego Maradona – but has been hoping for a new two-year contract at Chelsea, and is in a new round of talks with the club’s board.

Villas-Boas wants to sign England’s Gary Cahill along with Newcastle starlet Ameobi in a double deal in the transfer window.

But Chelsea will face a fight to tempt the Geordies into doing business, with boss Alan Pardew last night insisting Ameobi will not be going anywhere.

“Sammy is a bit different. He offers – especially with Gabriel Obertan at the moment being injured – something different. We’ve got to see how bad Obertan is but Sammy isn’t going anywhere.”

Villas-Boas will offer around £6m for Cahill and could use midfielder Josh McEachran as bait – with the whizz kid being sent to the Reebok on loan.

Josh to the Reebok on loan as bait for Cahill seems plausible and would be a great bit of business all round IMO.

Really can't see Anelka going to QPR. He can do a lot better than that and I'm sure he will get a bumper pay deal in Russia or the like or go to Italy.

Absolutely, Anelka having been at Chelsea, one of Europe's biggest clubs he's hardly likely to want to play with pikeys on a pokey little ****hole ground and school ground training facilities at Harlington. <ok>
