Even if that's the case the Chinese only bought Sunseeker in the summer. Late August from what I can see. So it's a different owner to the one who wouldn't pay to sponsor us.

Being reported that Cortese was in the Midlands today with a view to becoming the new Executive Chairman of Nottingham Forest.

I reckon he's been sounded out about opportunities in Italy already, but he doesn't seem the type to just jump straight back in without a lot of consideration. It would have to be the right offer, & it may even be away from football, that would not surprise me too much.
Honestly, I think it would be nearly impossible for NC to ever get the kind of job he had at Saints. It's amazing that it ever allowed to happen at all which I guess is also why it didn't last. The rich clubs tend to have meddling owners, or business-like owners who would prefer Cortese not rock the boat (and if the team isn't as good that's okay as long as the money comes in). Small clubs will not have the money to spend like Saints gave Cortese. Please note-- this is not a slam on Cortese. He was given unique powers and put in a situation where he could either boost the club tremendously or crash and burn just as hard. To his credit, it was the former. But most owners are going to be risk-averse and not put that much of their money and fate into one man's hands, especially not a guy like Cortese.
Can't see Nicola taking a job without a lot of dosh to back up his plans. He's not an inspirational manager who can produce a silk purse from a sow's ear, he's an enabler who brings in the right people to do that for him. He will probably end up in a job in the financial world again. I think Markus, Cortese and Saints were a perfect storm which is unlikely to happen again for him.
I do agree, however when you say "small"'club and no money; Forest are possible bigger or as big as Saints and have money.
