Evening guys,
Just wanted to let you all know that Nicky returned my e-mail today... I told him to " Keep his chin up and give the Nurse's hell, and that the lads on this board would be thinking of him"..

Well, Nick said he's in a hell of a lot of pain at the minute, SKY HIGH on Morphine and he (might) be home by Wednesday.

As some of you know, Nick had a 7 hour operation last Wednesday, won't go into too much detail but he's really going through the mill right now.

So I thought this thread would be a nice gesture, where we can all leave a personal message to "One of us" We're STOKE and we stick together no matter what happens. And, I think? Nicky will keep on posting on here. Reading his mail he gives me that imprssion anyhow.
Now, I know that sometimes Nicky has a knack of winding up certain fans, but knowing him as I do. It's not the real Nicky b and of course no one is perfect as they say. And Nick would be the first to say, he's not after youre sypathy vote. Any good jokes etc would be ideal as I'm sure Nick won't stay away from here for long, even if he's not posting he will read the comments daily... Once a Stokie always a Stokie!

So I'll finish by saying.

GET WELL SOON Nicky, we're with you every step of the way, can't wait to see you posting ASAP.. Pott's <cheers>
 
No jokes from me, just I wish a speedy recovery and I hope both he and his family are coping. Don't know if you want to ask him for his vote on the mod thing so he feels involved?

Well, that's if Nicky see's this thread and the Mod's one. I assume he's not well enough just yet and has other things to worry about mate. It maybe that once he is home, Nick will be on here having his say so to speak.
Would be great IF Nick did cast a vote but I'll leave it until Waddo, and a few more have voted anyway. I think? as Nick's e-mail is so short. NO PUN intended but he's on a different planet right now.. re the medication etc.
He did promise to meet me for a pt or three last week so I'm looking forward to that, so is Nicky.

(Edit) Sorry Smither's I'll mail Nick in a day or so, ask him for two votes if he's up to it that is.

Just to make you smile 6 million are without power in NY, Europe is in financial chaos and half the muslim world are killing ech other yet the biggest news in Sydney right now is they finally have their own version of Monopoly.... The news on everyones lips is the Mayfair square is now Sydney harbour.
