He was doing as he was told like any other employee who wishes to keep his job does, is this really hard for you and others to understand?
I sometimes wonder about posters on here and their mentality- oh wait you lot would gladly give up your jobs wouldn't you, never mind supporting families and whatever.

He's not a ****ing cleaner. Any self respecting senior manager would not put their neck on the block and lie in the public eye if they knew they were going to get found out. What do you think Pearson would have done? If Thompson was put in a difficult position he should have resigned and filed for redundancy stating his position was untenable.
