My grandma gave me Madden as a Christmas present when I asked for a football game when I was 14 or so. The **** in Game obviously deliberately took advantage of her and wanted to get rid of some madden copy. I turned it on and was immediately asked who my team was. I have no connection to any team or any state in America so in a stroke of genius I thought I’d let the team pick me and “fate” decide. I shut my eyes turned away from the screen and held down on the controller and counted to 100 and let go of the controller opened my eyes and there it was, the Vikings. I had never heard of them, I only knew a handful of teams by name at that time, but hey the universe had decided this was the team for me.

I did t really start following the NFL until I went to uni 5 years later, but stuck with the Vikings. Surrounded by Patriots/Steelers/Packers fans all ripping the piss I stayed strong. **** up after **** up from this cursed team and I stayed loyal. It was only after watching Walsh miss from 25 yards, a kick I’d expect an under 11 soccer player to make, that I (again) questioned why the universe ****ed me over all those years before. It finally hit me. It wasn’t the ****ing universe or fate. The Vikings begin with V and are last alphabetically. The list when you pick teams must not have just scrolled on and on, the ****ing game just stopped when you had gone through all the teams once and the Vikings are last alphabetically. I was sat there counting to 100 with my eyes shut like a bell end while it was just stopped on the Vikings. This is what I have to tell myself now to not admit to myself that I too am super cursed

I realised I haven't done this, but I don't know any of the other scores so I'm still doing this blind... Well, I know the Vikings score, but I would have predicted Green Bay regardless.

Haha, that's quite an amusing story and quite a way to pick your team. For me, it was not so interesting. I went to the Vikings - Steelers game at Wembley in 2013. I didn't know who to support so I looked at the different websites of the two teams, and I went the Vikings because I liked the teams 'branding' with the purple, and the font used. Then when I was at the game, I really enjoyed the whole Vikings-ness, the viking ship, the horn, the Vikings fight song and I thought "This is awesome!" so I became a Vikings fan. Though perhaps I am cursed because it was just a twist of fate that the very first game I went to happened to be a Vikings home game. It could have been anyone (and though I was a bit into the NFL, I didn't have a team nor did I even watch it that much).

So the Vikings beat the Packers as predicted. Rodgers is ****ed and potentially out for the regular season, which should open the NFC North up and I'd say the Vikings probably slight favourites to win it now over the Lions. Can't wait to see how they **** it up this year.

Nah they've done that a couple of times now, got to go bigger and better. I'm going with a fumble when taking a knee in to win the Wildcard game, recovered by the opposition and being returned for a touchdown. Go hard or go home

Here we go with Bonus questions.
question 1 & 2 are related to great extent.

Bonus 1 - Def conceding most points
Surprising - Lions gave away 52 points, Saints came in second with 38 points.

So here is the point & congrats Julian

    Julian Edelman Saints - 38 - 4 pts
QPR New york Colts - 36
    StanDMan Browns - 33
    Rorschach Browns - 33
    Cove Jaguars - 27
    BobbyD Niners -26
    TopClass Jets - 24
    PompeyMeowth Dolphins - 17
    SaintMagic Dolphins - 17
    PompeyLapras Giants - 10

Bonus 2 - DEF with most INT & Fumbles takeaways

    source:
    https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/interceptions-thrown-per-game?date=2017-10-17
    https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/fumbles-lost-per-game?date=2017-10-17

Saints had 5 takeaways thanks to Detroit with 3 INT & 2 Fumble takeaways - total of 5.
But no one got that Saints. So lucky loser is SaintMagic gets 2pts who picked Texans against Browns.
Serioulsy Lions were worse than Browns this week <doh>

    SaintMagic Texans - 3 - 2pts.
    BobbyD Broncos - 0
    PompeyMeowth Bucs - 2
    TopClass Ravens - 2
    StanDMan Jaguars - 1
QPR New york Jaguars - 1
    Rorschach Chiefs - 1
    PompeyLapras Packers - 2
    Cove Dolphins - 1
    Julian Edelman Jaguars - 1
