The tournament will help all clubs involved develop the young players as this will give them matches against good opposition. It's a great idea I just hope there is some opportunity to watch some of it on tv.
Morgan would fit in as one of my first choice starting 11, future LFC hitman I hope. He has Fowler-esque ability.
The Liverpool games will be live on LFC TV. This will be really good and an opportunity to watch our future stars in competative games. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/watch-our-euro-starlets-live Liverpool will kick off the Champions League-style tournament for U19s against Sporting Lisbon next Wednesday night - and you can watch our stars of the future live and exclusive only on LFC TV and LFC TV Online.
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/nextgen-founder-chats-to-tv http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/they-ve-nurtured-some-greats Going to bump this again and keep it going throughout the tournament.
--------Belford--------- Flanno--Wisdom--Wilson--Robinson --------Coady---------- Silva--Shelvey--Suso --Sterling --------Silva-------- Top class team, Silva is perhaps the odd one out. Why is Morgan not in the starting line up? Also, Sama may go in for Wilson. I also wouldn't put it past Bueno, Nacho and that American teen going straight into the team. Apparently they're all future stars but haven't had chance to see them play yet. Have Liverpool got 2 players called Silva, because there is two there, the only one I've heard of is the Portugese youth international Toni Silva, I think it should be 16 year old Adam Morgan up front, anyway where is Kristian Adorjan?, he's eligible. Where are Michael Ngoo or David Moli?
http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/comolli-relishing-nextgen-start Ahead of the start of the brand new NextGen Series tournament this week, Director of Football Damien Comolli explains to Liverpoolfc.tv why he can't wait to see the Reds taking part in it. We think it's very important. I think we were the first club to sign up because we think it is important for the development of players. It's important for them to face a different type of football, to play in big stadiums and to take the players out of their comfort zone of always facing the same teams and type of football. I think it will stretch everybody - the players and coaching staff - and it will be good from a fitness point of view as well, so we are really looking forward to it.
Apparrently you are allowed 3 20yos,and its a under 19 tournament, I would suspect that actually means 19 and under rather than under 19 Should have a decent side Stephens Flanagan Wisdom Wilson Robinson Sterling Shelvey Coady Suso Pacheco Eccleston
Isn't Belford more likely to be in goal? Also Borrell said Flanagan and Robinson might not be used due to their use in the first team, so we might see some new fullbacks. The midfield looks boss though, Silva probably deserves a go, and Morgan should definetly go in place of Ecclestone.
I'm glad that merge worked being my first time and all that. If I end up shutting down the whole forum please bear in mind that i'm new to this.
I get the feeling that Caulker is going to learn a lot this season over at Swansea, if last night is anything to go by, he's going to have a lot of defending to do this season. Could come back a very good player.
