Much brighter than a club where the people with an IQ of 10 are in charge of transfers or press releases.
It's pointless trying to reason with people who's only purpose is to cause trouble. They know full well Suarez is not a racist ( not on the "evidence" presented anyway) but they're are not interested in debate, only in mud-slinging. They have completely destroyed what was a decent thread initially.
All this is fine, but you are still 91% (conservatively) compared to 67% in London, white. Your "communities" are absolutely tiny by comparison. They are the facts. There may be areas where there percentage is different (there are here) and all ports have small communities of immigrants, it is the way of things, but overall, multicultural? Nowhere near on the scale of London.
are you guys going to RUIN a long standing and successful thread baout the u19 next gen competition. I'm going to call on whatever mods are out there to take action. this is a football thread baout u19's comp... not for this.
Our own club calls us scum???? No it calls racists scum. Like the ones at Klanfield; and it is not for you to say when the end of anything on a thread that is on our board. My mistake, your biased mods have taken it off our board now. Good, the burning crosses were getting embarassing.
Can we all get back on topic, please. The thread is now on the Liverpool board only so no need for Spurs fans to comment.
I think a blatent attack by guys uninterested in the game played last wednesday (they never commetne don the match threa dofr it or here) with a view to destory a months old thread thats been nothing but good is rather sad. Both that match thread and this one had decent spurs fans on for football talk and we enjoyed them. no co-incidence we play spurs on monday night and the sudden truning up of the wums..... I'd say those playing the internet warriors should be laughe dout of town as it were.. thier actions merely refelct on themsevles.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...eak-NextGen-team-rules.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Daily Mail trying to start a fight as usual. Apparently we are in a row?
Cant see the problem danilo if a couple of our lads were bought in,they met the correct criteria for the game and were not over the allowed age.
The press can't talk about us now without some snide comment. The reference to "substantial fees" is utterly irrelevant but they cannot bring themselves to admit we may be right over anything. I'm not normally given to paranoia, but I'm now beginning to develop a siege mentality.
Any club(apart from Man Utd)from outside of London are classed as "foreigners" by the Fleet Street hacks.
I can understand the viewpoint you hold, its pretty reasonable. I don't agree with the whole of it, however. Firstly, who defines 'racism'? What is racism? Is racism something held in the intent of the speaker, or in the understanding of the listener? If you say something without intent to offend that contains an element of someone's descriptive makeup, is it racism? Furthermore, what is a 'race'? In the 1930's, Eugenics was a pseudoscience and one that was used to 'justify' the appalling treatment meted out to the Jews and the Slavs by the Germans (who it was claimed by the Nazis were Aryan). Modern science has pretty much eradicated this gross misapplication of science, and with it the entire concept of 'race'. We are all of the Human Race. Therefore, is not the mention of a person's skin colour no better or worse than mentioning hair or eye colour? I've yet to hear about a prosecution about a ginger joke. Blondes are still the butt of jokes for being dumb blondes. What makes skin colour so special that it is a complete taboo? Even to mention? As far as I could read in the evidence, Suarez never called him a black ****, or black bastard - would this even be an issue if he'd been called a ginger tosser or a blonde bint? As far as calling an entire society racist, I think that is wrong, and stinks of cultural imperialism. Why are we so right to have a massive hang-up on the colour of someone's skin, but hair colour is fair game? In Uruguay, any physical feature appears to be fair game - you could almost call it race-blind, as someone with black hair is almost as likely to be called 'black' as someone with African roots. I certainly do not believe that anyone who was truly racist would have come out with the tirade Suarez was supposed to have come out with. Racists are insidious and secretive; they wouldn't risk having a 'handbags' job in a crowded penalty area, they'd just spend the entire afternoon having sly digs... As for thinking that the FA would have cut the punishment for an 'apology', its laughable. That would never happen, as it wouldn't suit the FA's political 'Kick out Racism' campaign or its nose-thumbing to Slack Bladder.
I've tried to find a copy of the eligibility rules on the NextGen website, but no luck. All I can find is the following on Wikipedia:- No mention about fees being paid in the rules... I can only presume that the Spuds had three overage players on the pitch at the same time...
I don't know that much about the eligibility rules either St. I felt that the journo was just having a dig by suggesting that we'd somehow gone against the "spirit" of the competition as opposed to breaking its laws.
Ajax in the semi final they beat Barca 3-0 http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/reds-face-ajax-in-semi-final
the club have the following message on the baord. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/reds-to-face-ajax-at-anfield so tottenham had to withdraw from the tournament officially... and i suppose rightly so, we ought to have beaten them but didn't.... i'm not sure how this will go but its a home tie so it'd be strange and no doubt tottenham would be raging if we went and won this after scraping through the group and losing in the qf...... Not sure i want us to win it...
