After much needed back to back victories, we host Reading Saturday. Fresh from their cup heroics, with Yakubu just signed they have the disadvantage of a midweek game before they travel to us. We were all trying to guess the team, the consensus being Tabb back nooooooooo ( he did very well ) and play Bishop/ Bru/ Sears/ Murphy ( tick! ) Have a feeling we may be unchanged for this one, with McGoldrick/ Parr and maybe Ambrose coming on second half. Thoughts?
tough game no doubt, hopefully though they will have their minds towards a cup quarter final than the league now.
Hope Reading are as terrible as they were opening day, how we lost I'll never know they were absolutely awful.
But we were pretty cack at Charlton and pinched a 1-0!? 4-0 Spanish, really!? Very winnable but our largest winning margin of the season for this one, not so sure. I don't think we're the type of side who would go for 4-0 should we have the opportunity too either.
Fancy a win in this one... In fact I will plump for the classic 2-1 workmanlike and effective performance
I feel really nervous about this one simply through the reasons I have already alluded to. We have a poor record against Reading in recent years and I reckon it will be 1-2. I really hope I'm wrong of course.
Home loss to Wigan makes me somewhat more confident. While seven points away from trouble means they need points, we've got a good chance Sat.
Interestingly we've drifted from starting out at 10/11 to being close to 5/4 for tomorrows game. Looked at the Reading squad, how the hell are they not doing better? Plenty of ability there.
This will be a tough game. We've only won twice in the last nine meetings against Reading so, as some of you have already pointed out, they're our bogey side. But our form this season suggests we should be able to overcome them and prevent them from doing the double over us. I can't see too many goals in this one, and while my head warily predicts a 1-1 draw, I'll go for a 2-0 victory, Murphy and Smith to score. Also, it's kids for a quid at PR today, so hopefully we'll see a bumper crowd and a good atmosphere.
