I take it Danny Murphy hasn't looked at the table, we're above Liverpool. 'but two home games against teams in the bottom half of the table are exactly what Liverpool need' http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34240921
I actually find he speaks quite well - at least he actually has an opinion. But he does come out with some crap too...
It just amaze me these ''professionals'' don't do any research first, I mean looking at the table only takes a couple of seconds.
I guess part of the problem is that if he said "mid-table" clash, he'd get a tirade of abuse from arrogant Scousers, even though as the table stands that would be the reality...
I'm looking forward to this game, as it seems that Liverpool are in quite serious disarray, especially defensively and Mignolet seems a bit of a disaster in goal. Edit - He'll probably have a blinder against us now!!! I've just been looking at the table and we have scored only 3 goals fewer than the mighty Citeh (should be 2 if CJ's goal against Palace had been allowed!!). Overall, the goals for column is looking a bit bleak for some of the teams who have very expensive strikers on their books!!!! Edit 2 - If things stay as they are at Upton Park, the bottom three are Stoke, Sunderland and Newcastle and had Butland not played such a brilliant game against us, Stoke would be bottom!!!
Going back to the line-up against Liverpool, it's possible that Jarvis could be switched to RW after Redmond's lackluster performance, with Brady at LW if Olsson is ready to start. Wes has to start, but will it be Howson or Dorrans in CM? AN has some tough choices to make.
Jarvis or Redmond is an interesting question. If we're likely to play on the break more, then Redmond has more pace, but Jarvis probably defends slightly better when we're under the cosh (Albeit on limited evidence). The question might almost be Redmond or Howson. Playing Jarvis and Dorrans might be too defensive, but both Redmond and Howson might slightly compromise us defensively. Nice questions to have.
Methinks that AN will play Dorrans and Howson with perhaps Redmond dropping to the bench - as said above a nice position to be in.
