DiMatteo - Guardiola ...................... are you boys mad <doh>

What about Solskjaer?, he had Man Utd reserve team playing good football and has just had a Norweigan team win the league for the first time in their history playing some really good stuff.

I wonder if Arry fancies moving Sandra to the Gower - well he does like to live by the seaside :)

Just gave that some thought. It would be totally and utterly brilliant to have Harry Redknapp!
not a chance though. Or maybe... ooo dunno!

Poyet / Hughton / Holloway from UK .... however BR picked a nobody last time out, so wouldn't be surprisd to see one from left field.

Interesting fact picked from a Blackpool forum .... that Holloway's oldest kids have recently moved back to Bath and Holloway himself has been living in Bath from Saturdays to Thursdays for the last 8 weeks, while training was held by Steve Thompson.

I pray we don't get Holloway. Poyet would be class.

Solskjaer is my favourite shout though! Got Molde in Norway from 16th one season to winning the league the next!

Didn't he say that he couldn't bring himself to uproot his family from Norway about 2 weeks ago when he was in-line for the Villa job though, what's changed?

Swansea weren't interested then! Birmingham is a ****hole! Find him a nice house on the Gower, make sure they don't look left on the way in down the M4 and we're laughing!

I agree Scott, I don't think Holloway is a right fit for us. Poyet would be pretty good. Would also like to see someone like Paulo Di Canio, a footballing purist like Brendan. We can't comment on his experience because we took RM and BR with little experience and they both did well. Ivor mentioned Laudrup on another thread and after reading it, it could also be a good appointment.

Ultimately, Huw Jenkins has picked the last four decent managers. Jacket got the ball rolling, Roberto got us playing pretty football, Sousa gave us our highest ever finish and Brendan took us to the Premiership and kept us there.

Hmmm....interesting to see some new names emerging. Holloway's record is one of having attacking teams that are dreadful at the back. That would be a regressive step for us and kill us in the Prem.

I think Solskjaer and Laudrup would give Poyet a run for his money.

Someone mentioned Bielsa from Atletico Bilbao yesterday. Now that would be a coup. His nickname is the "Madman" so some of our posters will take to him right away. <laugh>

Whoever we get make him sign a £10m buyout clause and no taking our players for 12months after leaving, even iff it seems at the start him being unlikely to command such a demand from the big clubs !

A manager that has experience of our european style is essential but i cant think of a suitable top one available now so another unknown gem will need to be dug up by our HJ !

Poyet, Solskjaer, Laudrup are i think the most realistic targets for us and i'd more than happy with anyone of them.

But then we wouldn't get any manager. If you demanded that of a manager he'd also demand 10 million if you sacked him. It works both ways.

He just agreed to pay 7 million of Siggy. So sounds like he's willing to pay good money to get the right players/managers. But no point needlessly wasting money. Huw is doing a great job. Perhaps we could get him to run the country. Probably wouldn't have got into such a mess. Couldn't have done a worse job than Blair/Brown.
