Stoke City are managed by Tony Pulis who has done an excellent job in charge at the Potters so far. Pulis not only led The Potters into the Premier League in 2008 but has made them an established top flight team and even took them to the FA Cup Final in 2011. As a result Stoke participated in the Europa League last season, making it through to the knockout stages.

Pulis is currently enjoying his second stint as Stoke manager, having previously managed the club between 2002 and 2005. He is very popular among the Stoke faithful and is unlikely to be in trouble if the team continue to make progress in the Premier League. They have signed a number of quality players and Pulis has moulded together a strong squad which are capable of pushing for a top 10 finish in 2012/13 after finishing the last four seasons in 12th, 11th, 13th and 14th.

At the moment the Next Stoke City Manager shows that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the surprise favourite, with the likes of Roberto Martinez and Owen Coyle also featuring.

Anyone for me and thats not just a dig at Pulis. A change is needed.

Nigel Adkins, Poyet and Martinez would be good, maybe even Rafa.
However I feel that Coyle would only really be tempted by Scotland :/
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be a gamble as he is good quite good I guess, winning the Tipelagen, but the BPL is way way different

P.S we are estimated to finish 11th :/

Jol.- been my long time choice.
Then again I always wanted Denis Smith as manager

I have always had a soft spot for Warnock, but I admit there would be better options. My fear would be Hughes!

Ryan Giggs has intimated ( please fellas no innuendos ) that he would like to take over from Salex in the future. So is he worth a shot at player/manager in the interim ? His connection with anyone at United who might be willing to come to us through this arrangement is obvious.

I'm hearing Celtic's Lennon is a front runner now for the Stoke job!

PREMIERSHIP side Stoke City are considering Celtic manager Neil Lennon as a candidate to replace Tony Pulis at the end of the season

The Parkhead manager has been discussed at boardroom level, according to reports on Sunday, and is being considered alongside Arsenal number 2 Steve Bould who could be appointed as his assistant.

Pulis has near enough secured the Potters’ status as a Premier league club however the club’s form has been patchy in the second half of the season fueling speculation that he may be set to move on.

The Celtic manager has spoken of his ambition to manage a Premiership club and has been linked with a move to Everton following the departure of David Moyes to Manchester United.

Lennon is reported to be third choice for the position should Wigan boss Roberto Martinez and Cardiff’s Malky Mackay decline the role.

His Parkhead side were presented with the SPL trophy yesterday with Lennon presenting his SPL winner’s medal to a young Celtic supporter in the crowd.

Lennon is on a rolling one year contract which is reported to be worth around £800,000 a year plus bonuses.

Someone on the oatcake fanzine has posted about the same rumour Waddo. Personally I don't think he is a suitable candidate. I don't think winning the SPL is any great shakes. He is not for me I'm afraid. I would rather have MON than Lennon.
