Just had a wonderful thought....if an English-speaking manager is appointed, we will hear less from Ralph (for that read nothing). I'm sure Kreuger is more impressive if he doesn;t speak.
Not subtle enough, eh Have always disliked business speak...too many words and too much fudge. The only people who like it are young people with no life experience and those who are professional attendees of conferences. Have served on committees myself...used to frequently cut across the bullshit, sum it up in a couple of words, then moved on.
And do you know what happens next. Experience means that you can see through all this tosh, but if you voice it you are called negative. The only positive people are the young who haven't seen the same stuff fail before, so agree with it. And the cycle repeats.
It's interesting - when Ralph first arrived I mentioned that I'd worked both for a Cortese-esque dictator and a Ralph-esque waffler (more than one of each actually), and I knew full well which I preferred. A bunch of people said "well, not the dictator". No, no, no. Always the dictator thanks.
Indeed. Whereas, to put it in another one of those trendy phraes, you merely want to cut to the chase.
Anyone who has worked for the NHS, and I'm sure most other large institutions in the public or private sector, will know how absolutely endemic the politically-correct, non-confrontational, pussy-footing, crowd-pleasing, obfuscating tosh that passes for speech has become. Why can't people just say what they mean?
Frank de Boar...heard he is a pig of a manager. Likes to go the whole hog, but that could be porkies.
This is the consequence of democracy. To be popular and consequently get into a position of power you have to compromise and sacrifice the strength of your beliefs
