west ham Birmingham City -------------------- Reading Blackpool Leicester City saints --------------------- 22 - pompey
Welcome HR I've been here since being wrongfully banned on original 606 and it is a very good site. Also regularly check out ja606 but it is currently down
The Championship will be far more exciting if..... Big Sam just wants players to hoof it up field, Carson Young decides he no longer likes the midlands, Sven is given another 10 mill to spend, CMS stays at Boro, Pompeys owners turn out to be legitimate, & lastly Brighton new stadium plans run behind schedule & they get another season at fortress Withdean.
I think Pompey will finish top. Their new Russian owners will fill their squad with premiership players, and build their new 60,000 seater stadium in the close season, and ensure they hit the big time again! then they will repay the charities and the taxman that they stole from, and all will be well again. Nah only joking - they will struggle, and we will finish above them, restoring the natural order of things!!
West Ham should do better now they have Allardyce, but it can be hard to raise spirits and get a team going again. That's why teams can just slide..like us. We have good team spirit and confidence is high for fans and team alike. Important that we start well, something we found hard to do in the past.
One thing is certain, If Allardyce doesn't get off to a good start the the Fans at Upton Park will tear him up quicker than a Kleenex at a snot party.
All right all! Why do most of you think that both West Ham and Birmingham will do well? One of them yes but both, no. If West Ham aren't top after 3 minutes of the first match, Gollivan will start interfering, plus big Sam may be a little out of touch at Champ level. Brum will have their squad pulled to pieces too as Yeung don't got the pennies but does have the fear! I think we may do very well.....
I'm quietly confident, but I'm not going to start biggin' us up. We want to stay under the radar.....then bam...take them all by surprise. On the Bus.
Allardyce is a good manager, but HotBovril makes a good point. What will he be like in the Championship? Pardew did OK for us but NA, a manager with experience in lower leagues, did better. Admittedly he didn't have a ten point deduction to cope with but he got the team to 'play as one'. Had to put that it, I've got Adkin-withdrawal symptoms.
I see you got your smiley problem sorted HR! I'm still trying to work out why my Bovril picture doesn't show up correctly!
