Adebayor could do a very good job for you.

True but his wages are the sticking point, its the same reason why Spuds wont buy him. Thats the problem with Man City players, their wages are too high for clubs who dont have an oil baron backing the club to afford to pay them

I think if you can do the right business in the summer you could be looking at a top 8 with a decent cup run, maybe nip in and take the league cup as nobody else seems to care about that.

Another successful season for the mighty reds :) PMSL

We will have Lucas next season, who is one of our best players. Definate replacement for Gerrard in terms of passing, influence and tackles but goals wise not so sure. I reckon we'll finish higher but who knows? i didn't expect Newcastle to be pushing for a CL place and I thought Tottenham wouldve finished 3rd or higher.

I find this kind of thought pattern idiotic.

All players can suffer dips in form for many reasons. A dip in form may happen immediately after a transfer simply by coincidence, or indeed the transfer may be one of or the main reason for that dip in form. Educate yourself with this article:

Gareth Bale was Tottenham's bad luck charm. Did they sell him or did they alter things to get the best out of him?

Samuel Eto'o didn't cut it at Real Madrid but i don't have any doubt he would have done had he stayed.

Craig Bellamy had a nightmare season at Coventry did that make him a bad player or was it largely under-performance by the team and bad form? I think the impact of sports-psychology in his career alone tells you that some players can be persevered with.

David James had a bad start to his Liverpool career and even lost his place in our team and he's gone on to play past the age of 40.

Vincent Kompany has been possibly the best defender in the league this year yet he took time to settle.

Final example- Lucas Leiva. Think we've been over this one enough.

Football is littered with slow starters and players who have taken time to settle. Stuart Downing my never settle, but most other years he's played in the premiership suggest he's a solid player. If a couple of woodwork shots had gone in and our forwards had finished a couple of the chances he's created (as of not too long ago the stats suggested he had created as many chances as was required to start for any top 6 team) then we may not even be saying these things.

New owners, new manager, loads of new players- there was always going to be a period of adjustment right through the club, including on the pitch. We might not succeed next year, but i have absolutely no doubt that nearly all of our signings will continue to improve.

All this talk is similar to 12 months ago. Keeping Kuyt should be a priority.

One of the reasons I really admire Kompany is how well he fits in at City now, even though he arrived before the explosion of world class signings. He looks their best player half the time.

I think we'd be seeing a completely different Stewart Downing if that cracking long distance strike against Sunderland on the opening day had have went in rather than smashed the post. Small margins time and time again.

Cavani isn't out of the question. Jut depends if he wants to come and if they want to sell him. Bale not a chance though.

Why would Cavani come here when Real are chasing him and trying to offload Higuain to get him? Zero chance of Cavani.
