Looks like Tansey is off to Inverness but Grimes was staying in Shrewsbury this weekend. Jason Taylor of Rotherham was another tipped to come to us.
I take it you are in contact somehow? Nice info to hear. Let's hope he has blown the ink on that contrct to dry it!!
To think at one point I had earmarked the Shrewsbury area as a possible place to live and here we are chatting away. This is the best football forum outside Wycombe.
paul buckle is taking his deputy and 3 players including zebrowski to bristol rovers. top tips to replace him, kevin phillips player manager, ex brum, former captain chris hargreaves and old former manager rosenior. can the gulls avoid relegation, they need eeyore in midfield
King Kev's got a few more years in the tank yet! Gulls would be a lot less intimidating if they didn't have the front 3 of Zebrowski- Robinson- O' Kane.Let's hope neither team holds up the mighty Shrews on their march to the League One title!
Looks like Crawley might be a serious threat by the money they're spending http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/cheltenham_town/9503061.stm
its going to be difficult next year, ill be happy with a mid table finish, to many teams with too much money
Matster.. They really ought to walk it mate. They've been spending silly money for the past 12 months or more, on both transfers & wages. Their thug of a manager may get found out, tactically that is. But as a team, expect them to be up amongst it all.
AJ I don't want to see Shrews suffer in the playoffs again!! I must also point out that quite a few said last season was going to be tough. Yet some of the teams supposed to succeed did not really show up.
Millers and Gills have gone backwards. Gills have already lost their talismans Cody McDonald and Akinfenwa and currently are without a goalkeeper. Rotherham get piddly little gates and have an unproven manager, plus Nicky Law will be leaving for free(sign him up!) and A.L.F is sure to follow with reported interest from Alan Knill at Scunny. Bradford just aren't good enough and Crawley's 'prima donnas' will take time to adapt. The time is now GT COYS
It makes you wonder whether Crawley are going down the road of Notts County 2 years ago., spending copious amounts of cash which could be unsustainable. They also have a manager who could very well have been banned for life for past misdemeanours within football and ouside.
I think the difference there is that Crawley actually have the money to spend! I don't know that for fact but I have a Crawley supporting friend who assures me that they're spending within a budget and it's entirely sustainable. I truly couldn't agree more about Evans though. He should've been banned for life from his Boston Utd days, and unfortunately for any club who hires him, his name is now synonymous with 'corruption'. It definitely doesn't help matters when the club he's at seems to have near unlimited funds available! Anymore news on Grimes? I don't know much about him but if he's the fella that was banging them in for Lincoln while they were having such a dismal season, he should do well for a team that's going to be there or thereabouts. Good luck for the coming season.
