These are the teams in L1 next season: Accrington Barnsley Bolton Bristol Rovers Burton Cambridge Charlton Cheltenham Derby Exeter Fleetwood Forest Green Ipswich Lincoln MK Dons Morecambe Oxford Peterborough Plymouth Portsmouth Sheff Wednesday Shrewsbury Wycombe One from Mansfield and Port Vale to be confirmed
There’s going to be a lot of West Country derbies next season and some big stadiums to visit - it’ll be a very competitive league but recent events have shown that we’re a very competitive team!
Sky have already produced odds for league 1 winners next season - The Gas priced at 33-1/ quarter odds for top 3 finish. Not sure if I think that's good or bad to be honest, just yet.
We aren't - they have Morecambe and Cambridge as joint favs for the drop, along with Cheltenham. Seems crazy producing odds this early when players are still coming and going, signings have yet to be made etc. They can't have a scooby doo about what's really likely to happen yet!
Yes and let's be honest - it couldn't have happened to a nicer club and a more deserving set of fans!!
It looks like a strong, competitive league, so I've got no idea where we'll end up. Hopefully we'll at least be on a par with where Oxford were, or maybe even a bit better than that.
We’re back on the League One board rejoice! At last someone to talk to that aren’t Teds! We were the only active forum in L2 so it’s great to be back with our green friends and the rest
At least none of you have deserted Blue. For once in a lifetime it's going to be interesting for us this season with so many jaunts just up the road for our away contingent. What's going to become of our most miles tag. Got to tell you that the standard last season football wise went up a couple of notches in league one. There were a lot of pretty decent teams and a few very good ones. Not going to be easy for anyone I think.
Definitely wont be 'easy' for us, (a) we don't do anything the easy way, and (b) we're not cocky or arrogant enough to think it will be anything other than tricky to establish ourselves in a higher league - as long as JB and the lads make a decent account of themselves in their first season, I think most of us will be happy enough. So hard to imagine how we'll actually fare next season, but exciting anticipating it!
I for one am really looking forward to it. Lots of local derbies, better football and better stadiums - apart from ours!
Yours is "authentic"........ I think that's the expression used for "older" these days. Or, the expression I have heard is "a real football stadium". Not sure what constitutes not real mind.
