Would have to be this due to Portugese sides not wanting to play each other and the PL clubs for the same reason
Newcastle, Ipswich, Porto, PSV, Barcelona,

 

You could have it so teams from the same league dont play each other

Newcastle v Barcelona
Ipswich v Sporting
Fulham v PSV
WBA v Porto

for example. Even if two teams from the same country got to round 2 you could still fix it so they wouldnt need to play each other unless Fulham, WBA and us all won (unlikely). At worst two teams from the same country would have to play each other once, in the final or possibly once in the semi final if all 3 English teams won.

 

That would be Fulham and all the foreign teams through then.

 

I said somewhere yesterday that one pre-season game looks like being in Holland, hopefully the Amsterdam Tournament, that would be brilliant, the one in Majorca was ****, we were terrible, never had a shot on goal until the 78th minute of the second game. Was a good trip though.

I think we will see a few local friendlies again, and a home one or two against tough opposition. As I say, would love a tournament though.

 

WBA playing Barcelona would be a bit of a culture clash wouldnt it

 

In this example yes (although I'd back PSV to beat them), it was just a way of showing how teams from the same country could avoid playing each other.
