Don't worry Supers, we'll have a re-run in August once the wheels have been in motion. I for one am going to be watching the Southampton scenario closely. A lot of damage could be done this summer (potentially).
Remarkably so! I decided to predict without scrolling through the thread first so I didn't end up copying someone else's, that went well!
I reckon Cardiff and Wigan will be fighting it out all the way for the top 2, You guys will be a bit like wigan this year and come on strong after new year to gain a playoff place with Fulham, Forest and possibly ourselves or Blackburn. Reading are the side this year that could shock for all the wrong reasons and struggle, apparently the owner has put them up for sale for a quid, so that says to me he won't be investing a lot in transfers and wages and being 30mill in debt could hamper them. But as others have said, its a weird league and anything could and most probably will happen.
I disagree Guru I think Cardiff will implode! My picks for what they're worth! Prem Champions Liverpool Prem Relegations Burnley, Leicester, West Brom Championship Winners Wigan Runners Up Norwich Play offs Ipswich, Forest, Blackburn, Derby Relegated Rotherham, Charlton, Birmingham
can i ask why all the binners think we'll be near the top yet are so delighted that adams has been placed in charge? your predictions all contradict what you've said previously
basically because if you keep the squad all together a numpty like whotun would get you near the top, a lot depends on players that leave and who you get in. Adams might be a great coach, but does he attract new players to your club? Its very early to be making predictions and we can only go on what we have right now.
purely out of curiosity i had a look back to see what i'd predicted for the championship last season (dated 31.7.13) and i think it was a pretty good effort but i got a couple miles out 1 Brighton & Hove Albion 2 Reading 3 Bolton Wanderers 4 Leicester City 5 Nottingham Forest 6 AFC Bournemouth 7 Watford 8 Blackburn Rovers 9 Wigan Athletic 10 Charlton Athletic 11 Ipswich Town 12 Derby County 13 Sheffield Wednesday 14 Queen’s Park Rangers 15 Leeds United 16 Huddersfield Town 17 Doncaster Rovers 18 Millwall 19 Yeovil Town 20 Barnsley 21 Middlesbrough 22 Birmingham City 23 Burnley 24 Blackpool
I really do not have a lot of ideas to give detailed answers but I will be surprised if a) Liverpool end up Champions b) Liverpool finish in the top 4 IF Arsenal spend big c) Spurs finish in the top 6 d) Southampton don't lose several players and end up struggling near the bottom e) The Binners end up in the top six f) We finish in the top six or the bottom 8.
It's alright Supers, I had Leicester in about 14th... For next year, I genuinely think Norwich could finish anywhere but I'll go with: PL Champions: Chelsea Relegation: Hull, Villa, QPR Championship Autos: Derby, Blackburn (there's always a team that comes from nowhere!) Play-offs: Wolves, Ipswich, Cardiff, Norwich Relegated: Charlton, Rotherham, Birmingham
PL Champions: Man City Relegation: Burnley, Hull, Swansea Championship Autos: Wigan, Fulham Play-offs: Derby, Reading, Forest, Blackburn Relegated: Brentford, Rotherham, Millwall I'd have Cardiff alot higher but I think OGS is as clueless as he looks and sounds. If we'd of had Mackay I would have put us as No 1 and not been lying to myself. Swansea, like us are asking for trouble.
