Sorry matey, at work so have to occasionally do stuff, ill pop over and have a look eh? alwasy enjoy a bit of globothermonuclear fan wars
Well from what ive seen of the boy i think he could prove useful, heres hoping fiberglass. If its done by Friday, owe ya a pint
I'm completely underwhelmed by him, he is on a par with Kalou in my opinion. Oh well hopefully I am wrong and he turns out to be the next Henry!
im not exactly getting excited over him signing but i think he could do a job for us, bound to be better than barn door bendter
I'm one of the few Bendtner supporters about but I think he time with us has come to an end. I just don't think Gervinho will give us anything we don't have, not an upgrade on our other attacking players from what I have seen.
i guess time will tell but id like to think he could being something to the table, we shall see all bets are still on!
Frimpong is the most exciting player out of that list for me. If it wasn't for his knee injury last season, I think he would have broken into the first XI. If he recovers properly then I think he could be the DM that we've been looking for. Bartley is another one, big commanding CB, who can also play the ball. I don't think he has had a spectacular time at Rangers, but I still think he's got a big future at Arsenal. Out of the list, I think these two should be retained to try and force their way into the first team this season.
Finally! Someone who agrees with me about Bendtner. Like you though I think his time is clearly up so bye bye. I also agree with your thoughts on Gervinho. Is it so dosh garn hard to get an out and out striker? Youth-wise I agree with the OP's assessment in the main though I'd probably put Eastmond in a Championship team if possible. I think Frimpong could do a job for a lower-mid table Prem club if we're basing last years pre-season form. Hard to judge though when recovering from an injury like that. With JET, Lansbury and co we have to be at the use them or lose them phase. Can't see the point in loaning them out again imo.
I agree about Bendtner, I also like him and think he could have been used better. But there is no point him staying, he won't improve with us. So goodbye and good luck. I also agree with the thoughts on JET and Lansbury. Both have spent a lot of time out on loan, so either give them their chance or let them go. This is, I think, a problem with our youth policy. We hold on to too many players for too long in the fear they will be a success elsewhere. Mark Randall is obviously the prime example. Its obviously a very difficult skill, judging youngsters, and we don't want to see players leave on a free when they start getting close to the first team (like Fran Merida). It seems we have to give long term contracts to a group of players in the hope 1 turns out good enough, but then have no chance of selling the rest on because of high wages, thus have to leave them to run out their contracts.
